Wednesday, June 17, 2020

Hello, Newton lovers!
Today kicks off the Newton's Nook Designs June Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 19th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
For day 3 of the reveal, we have another cute farm friend!

Here is another farm friend, The Neigh Set.
Horses are such beautiful, majestic creatures, I'm sure many of you LOVE these beauties!
Here goes my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Neigh Set - Naki Rager

I was trying for "country chic" ;-)

So sorry for this blurry photo!!!
This beauty was no-line watercolored as always and I messed up his tail a bit, so I stamped and colored another one, fussy cut it, and paper pieced it. I popped the tail on with foam tape, I do like that little dimension when you paper piece!

Horseshoes, especially rusty, antique ones, make such beautiful decorations, don't they!!? These were heat embossed with Vintage Photos Distress EP, which has this rough, rusty finish!

So I thought 2 totally different patterned papers would make a fun background. I die cut the floral paper using the portholes die from the new Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. This awesome die set even comes with a few extra dies that are so versatile like these flowers and leaves. I simply picked up the colors from the patterned paper so they match nicely. The sentiments were heat embossed on vellum banners, which were die cut using the Banner Trio Die Set.

{Would you like to win the “Neigh”  Stamp Set?}
This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
One more reveal day left so do come back!

  17. Really nice job no line watercoloring. I'm just starting to try it out myself, and it is very fun even if I'm probably not the best at it. ;-) The highlights in the mane and tail turned out really well. I also like that you used patterned paper with flowers (and stripes) as it is kind of unexpected. Very pretty card.

  18. Such a fun slimline card with the patterned paper background. Love the no line watercoloring and the highlights in the horse. I have tried no-line coloring, but I'm not very good at it.
