Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
We continue on with the Newton's Nook Designs May Release ;-)
Today is day 3 and we're revealing this adorable new set Newton Cleans Up!
EEEEEEEEK 💛
I always look forward to seeing what kind of adventure Newton is taking on every month but this month, he is up for some serious spring cleaning! What a good kitty 💚
Okay, here is my take...;-)
First up is this adorable kitty doing loads of laundry ;-)
Or he is taking a cat nap in the fresh, warm pile of laundry (my cats do that! LOL)
I used to love doing laundry, but now it seems like I have so many loads every week! I thought we had a family of 6, not 60!!! {LOL} Anyway, this cute image was stamped and watercolored then die cut using the coordinating die. My 8 month-old kitty Bramble has very unique markings and I tried to color this little guy like him 💛 (Check out my IG and you can see the photos of him along with my tuxedo brothers 💗)
It took me a while to decide on what color to stamp this adorable sentiment with, and I thought this ombre ink was really fun, and it matches the fun ombre background!
I created this fun background using the new Cascading Stars Stencil (revealed on day 1) and Distress oxide Ink. To add a little texture (and to cover up my little boo boo), I placed a strip of skinny washi tape, which picks up the pinks and yellows from the towels and stars ;-)
My second card with the Newton Cleans Up Set features the kitty with the vacuum cleaner ;-)
I have always been a clean freak.
When I'm stressed or upset, cleaning calms me down {LOL}
So I colored this little vacuum cleaner pink because how much more fun cleaning would be if your vacuum cleaner was pink with sparkly silver!?
Here is another cute puny sentiment from the set 💗
I stamped this one black on a speech bubble that was die cut using the Speech Bubbles Die Set ;-)
I first picked this black patterned paper because it's fun but it can also look "depressed" with those "Xs" all over, 'cause you know, your life sucks! Get it!? {LOL} Pink patterned paper to pick up the pink from the vacuum cleaner, and what other colors would look better than green with pink!? I added pleated crepe paper on the side to soften the black, and a few rose gold sequins to repeat the pink ;-) Also a bit of sparkle never hurts, right!?
