Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Monday, September 7, 2015

Hello there! Happy Labor day!
I have a card for the Pinterest Inspired Challenge today!

I really like this!
Here is what I came up with...

A lot of triangles!

I have just recently discovered embossing paste *Ha Ha* so I gave it a try!
I used the Die-namics Triangle Screen to make my own template, then applied the paste pretty lightly. Then added emboss powder with Q-tips, heated it with the heat tool.

You know I'm a paper hoarder, well, I also am an embellishment hoarder! *hee hee* I didn't even know this set had little triangles! I was going to color them, but actually liked that light wood color!

And more triangles!
This vellum with copper triangles is from Studio Calico. I love designed vellum :-) They add designs and textures but don't over power!
I stapled the sentiment down, but the little dot was adhered with trimmed down, tiny dimensionals.

Don't you love when you find the perfect patterned paper to go with your design!?
This one is from the Retro Fresh, I had already picked the Pool Party Cardstock for my base, and I wanted a Pool Party patterned paper. This one has teeny tiny diamonds!

My notes...

Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Retro Fresh DSP, Designed Vellum (Studio Calico)
Accessory: Wooded Triangles (sorry, I don't remember the name! It's SU)
Tool: Heat Tool, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Blushing Bride Stampin' Emboss Powder, Texture Paste (Ranger), Die-namics Triangle Screen (My Favorite Things), In a Word: Hi Cutaways (Winnie & Walter), Stapler

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Hi there!
I follow several blogs and one of them is Amy Tsuruta. Her work is so beautiful, and you can tell by her blog that she has a bubbly personality! Anyway, she was a guest designer on this brand new challenge called Pinterst Inspired Challenge

Pinterest Inspired Challenge

How to play along with challenge is simple, they pick an image from pinterest for inspirations, and you make a card! The name says it all, right? *hee hee*
The above is their very first pick, fun!

Funny story (well, not really...), I found this challenge the day after I received my Ellen Hutson Order. I had finally ordered this fabulous Wild Garden Die set and it was just perfect for this challenge!

Aren't these flowers fabulous!?
I really liked the colors in the inspirational photo. I used Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, and Basic Black, pretty close, right?

I splattered some Mint Macaron ink using a paint brush. I know...can't really see, sorry :-( The ink is light, and the photographer lacks some serious skills! *Ha Ha!*

It's a simple card, but I think the bold brushed sentiment has a big statement, and the flowers are just oh so pretty ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Written in Watercolor (My Favorite Things)
paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, Maggie Holmes Flea Market (Crate Paper)
Ink: Mint Macaron, Versamark
Tool: Heat Tool, Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, Essentials by Ellen Wild Garden Die (Ellen Hutson)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
