Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 4

Hi, my lovelies!
Welcome to the final day of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!

So you know we always save the best for the last ;-) Here we go!

Working out is very important to every one of us and Newton here obviously takes that very, very seriously! The Newton's Crafty Cardio is so stinkin' cute, I just can't handle it!!!

Another important thing in everyone's life is to express your love/appreciation to the people we care about ;-) The Newton's Valentine Set is a purrfect new set for Valentine's day or anniversary or pretty much anytime you want to tell someone you love them 💗
Okay, here is my take...;-)

First up is my fitness instructor card! {LOL}

This super cute image was super fun to color!
I just love the littlest details like all those craft supplies!
Newton is hard at his "cardio" workout with his paintbrush, he is even dripping some sweat, which is one of the water splashes from the new Tides of Love Stamp Set (revealed on day 1). I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the sweat and paints on the pallet.

I thought what's better than a heart rate to go with this cardio kitty!
I found this simple heart rate image on Google and printed it out, then mounted on cardstock and fussy cut it. I added some sparkles with a clear glitter pen, I mean, it is "crafty cardio", right? We need glitter!!! {LOL}

I think this simple Valentine's card turned out super sweet!

These two friends are so very sweet together, aren't they!!?
Some no-line watercoloring with very soft colors makes it even sweeter 💚

For the background, I blended a couple shades of purple Distress Oxide Inks (it looks beautiful against my minty heart, doesn't it!!?), splattered some water, then applied translucent hearts using the new Bokeh Hearts Stancil Set. 

Before starting the background, I placed some scrap to get this clean straight line. This sweet sentiment was heat embossed with rose gold EP right below the line for a very clean look ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 3

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome to day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!

Today we're revealing this sweet set, Puppy Playtime!

These pups are absolutely adorable, aren't they!!?
I love the little sentiments as well, of course ;-)
Okay, here is my take...;-)

My first card is this simple but very fun design!

I simply HAD TO color this cute mooning pup!!! 😆
He was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored, then die cut using the coordinating Puppy Playtime Die Set. This sweet sentiment and a pawprint were heat embossed with copper EP on a stitched ticket, which was die cut with the Framework Die Set. The little bone was heat embossed with light gray EP and die cut with the Puppy Playtime Die Set.  

My fun but subtle background was created using the Woof Stencil and the Therm-O-Web White Pearl Metallix Gel on the front panel, which was die cut using the stitched postage die from the Framework Die Set. I really like how this card turned out!

Here is another card using the new Puppy Playtime Set.
If you've noticed, both of my cards today have the same layout but they look completely different, don't they?

This cute pup is sitting like a good boy and he is just adorable!
He was popped on over my patterned grass, which was die cut using the grass die from the Land Borders Die Set. The shiny woof was borrowed from the Pawprint Shaker Die Set. 

The soft outdoor background was created by blending Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink and some splatter of the white ink. I repeatedly stamped the little sentiment I wuf you behind the pup as that is what he is thinking/telling you 😉

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 2

Hello, my lovelies!
Welcome to day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 24th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today's set is already one of my new favorites, ready to see!!?

The Love Quarry Set is totally different from Jen's usual style but she totally nailed it, didn't she!!? This is a super adorable, must-have set especially if you have a little vehicle lover or two in your family like my younger son/twin boy!
Okay, here is my take...;-)

First up is this simple but fun design with the dump truck image!

Did you notice all the cute little sentiments for each vehicle!!?
I wanted to highlight the sentiment so this one was heat embossed with black EP on a strip of lime cardstock along with a couple of cones. I LOVE these teeny images!

Well, I decided to send loads and loads and loads of love with multiple trucks! It was heat embossed with clear EP right on the gray base card. Isn't this fun!!?

And here is my 2nd card using the Love Quarry Set.
This design is also pretty simple and uses a lot of gray again BUT it is a lighter gray, and was paired with sweet pink ;-) Those teeny hearts in front of the bulldozers were one of the heart images from the Happy Little Thoughts Stamp Set, which was heat embossed with rose gold EP.

This cute little bulldozer was heat embossed with rose gold EP and die cut using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set. It was heat embossed on white cardstock and colored in with some light colors and lots of sparkles with a clear glitter pen. 

I thought it might be fun to make a slider with the bulldozer like it was pushing those little hearts then revealing the sentiment. That little "xoxo" sentiment was borrowed from the My Type Mini Stamp Set.

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 1

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!

Today is day 1 of the reveal and it is all about LOVE 💗

Check out the Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set!

Isn't this simply awesome!!?

Who else gets excited when you see marine animals other than me!!?
Not only these sea creatures are adorable, I LOVE those puny little sentiments!
Okay, here is my take...;-)

I LOVE whales 🐋 Such gentle creatures they are 💙

I stamped this guy from the new Tides of Love Stamp Set on watercolor paper and did very soft no-line watercoloring, then it was die cut using the coordinating Tides of Love Die Set. This cute sentiment was heat embossed with silver EP, and I also added little hearts.

To give him this big ocean to swim in, first I added big puffy clouds by placing the Clouds Stencil on the top of the panel then sponged light blue, and darker blue on the bottom. I then die cut this patterned vellum using the Sea Borders Die Set and wrapped it around the front panel so that I could use adhesive on the back. 

My second card with the new Tides of Love Stamp Set is a Valentine's card for my hubby 💙 (So sorry about the photos!)

My husband of 21 years (it is literally half of my life!!!) is very passionate about marine biology and believe it or not, one of his favorite sea creatures is octopus! (His #1 is corals, then puffers!) I stamped this guy on watercolor paper and did no-line watercoloring with very soft colors (again 😝), then he was die cut using the coordinating Tides of Love Die Set.  The cute sentiment was heat embossed with light blue EP on sponged cardstock, which was fussy cut after tracing one of the hearts using the Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set.

I made this peach x lime hearts background using the new Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set and die cut the panel with the stitched square die from the Frames Squared Die Set. I also used only one of the stencils to add more hearts on the base card with the Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set and embossing paste.

Newton's Nook Designs

Happy New Year, my lovelies!

I hope you all had fabulous holiday!

Today I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog with my first card of the year!

I made this sweet Bambi card for my dear friend's little girl.

Her birthday is coming up and her party will be Bambi themed!

I used this adorable fawn image from the Woodland Spring Stamp Set. I know it isn't even close to spring yet but this is so stinkin' cute with the flower crown, I thought she'd like this! It was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink and colored in with colored pencil, then die cut using the coordinating die set. 

This sweet sentiment from the Deer Friend Set was heat embossed with white EP on this sponged background. I splattered some white ink for some snow effects. The pine trees were die cut from green cardstock using the Forest Scene Builder Die Set then some puffy snow was added with the snow maker marker. The birch trees were also die cut using the Forest Scene Builder Die Set. 

After placing the trees, I popped on a snowy hill that was die cut using the Land Borders Die Set with foam tape, then my sweet Bambi was mounted. I made the background pretty quiet with lots of white and light blue sky so that the fawn and her little birdy friend would really pop!
