Trick or Treat!

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

Hello, lovelies!
Tomorrow is already Halloween so I figured I'd make one more Halloween card and share it on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today!

Newton's Nook Designs Once Upon A Princess + Knight's Quest Sets - Naki Rager

I was inspired by my twins to create today's trick or treating card ;-)
My twin girl Terra is all about princesses and glitters so this year, she is going to be Cinderella. Then her twin brother Kaius wanted to be her prince! How stinkin' cute is that!!?

So I colored this little knight from the Knight's Quest Set and this little princess from the Once Upon A Princess Set. My little princess is holding a purple pumpkin bucket for her treats, which was borrowed from the Dress Up Doxies Set ;-) All the images were watercolored then die cut with their coordinating die sets, Knight's Quest Die Set, Once Upon A Princess Die Set, and Dress Up Doxies Die Set.

This awesome little sentiment die is from the Halloween Trio Die Set.
It was die cut from watercolor paper, colored with orange, yellow, and purple. Then some shimmer was applied with the clear glitter pen. I also splattered some shimmery black ink.

This spooky haunted mansion and a row of tombstones (not in this photo) from the Spooky Street Set were heat embossed with black glitter EP on vellum, were fussy cut, then the light green Nuvo Crystal Drop was applied to the windows.

To create this full moon, I used the Bokeh Stencil Set as a templet.
This is another reason I LOVE the NND Stencil line!

The background was created with Distress Oxide Inks and splatters of some water and shimmery gray ink. I added a few bats that were die cut using the little bat dies from the Halloween Trio Die Set to finish up this cute but spooky card ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Have a safe and happy Halloween 🎃👻🍭

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 349

Sunday, February 28, 2016

Happy Sunday, Lovelies!
Are you ready for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!?
This week's sponsor is Alicia Bel ;-)

What a fun theme!
Here is my royal card...;-)

Tell me what girl doesn't ever dream to a princess!?

The sponsor generously let us each pick our own princess, thank you so much!
Of course I picked Snow White! My baby girl has very fair skin and dark hair just like her, and she was dressed as Snow White for Halloween too!

So I've mentioned about my printer in the past...
Well, I now can print on watercolor paper with this weird trick that I don't even know what made me do it in the first place...sure am glad I did though! So this beautiful princess was colored with the Kuretake Watecolor Brush set, except for her skirt.

I was browsing the A Day for Daisies site one night now that I can print on watercolor paper, and found this gorgeous castle image! I immediately bought it and the next day, it was printed and colored, and stood behind my princess. I love it so much! A princess and a castle...*Big Heart*

My notes...

Stamp: Snow White (Alicia Bel), Where Dreams Come True (A Day for Daisies), Alphabet Rotate Stamp (SU)
Paper: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Watercolor Paper, Vellum, Silver Foil Sheet
Ink: Daffodil Delight Stampin' Marker, Kuretake Watercolor Brush Set, Versamark
Tool: Heat Tool, Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, Essentials by Ellen Designer Die Merry and Bright (Ellen Hutson), Elle-ments Finished Frames Die (Avery Elle)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now let's heat over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog and check out what the other princesses are up to!
