Oh, Baby! for Newton's Nook Designs

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

Hi, there!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today with this very easy to make but still super cute card!

Newton's Nook Designs Baby Bibs + Stitched Onesie Die Sets - Naki Rager

Do you know anyone who is going to be a mama soon!?
Here's a card you can make quickly!

Newton's Nook Designs Baby Bibs + Stitched Onesie Die Sets - Naki Rager

The new Baby Bibs Die Set is not just adorable but super versatile!
You can use it with the Bitty Bibs Stamp set, or just use patterned paper like I did here. Oh, and look at this! The Stitched Onesie Die goes so well with these bibs! The custom sentiment was die cut using the Essential Alphabet Die Set, I just love this mighty die set 💛

This soft rainbow background was created with 1/4"~3/8" wide of scrap. It's easy, and you get to use some of your scrap you're hoarding! (I know you are! I am!!! LOL) You can certainly substitute them with washi tape, too ;-)

So that is it!
I hope you liked it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, my lovelies!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog with this adorable baby card today!

Newton's Nook Designs Loveable Laundry Set - Naki Rager

I had a baby shower to go to, she is having a baby boy 💕
I used the Loveable Laundry (what a cute name, you know!) for this card, perfect! I heat embossed three of the onesie images from the set with Pool Party embossing powder and colored them in with Spectrum Noir Markers. I kind of left a lot of white space so I filled it with those tiny sweet sentiments ;-)

This set comes with a lot of sentiments, I picked "welcome" and "baby" to heat emboss on vellum.  I also heat embossed the duck from one of the onesie images, colored him in, and fussy cut to use as an embellishment next to the sentiment. I added the tiny cloth pin and a few enamel dots also. I die cut a strip of "xo" to add a little more color and done! This was pretty quick to make, but tons of fun to make!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 409

Sunday, May 28, 2017

Hello there, lovelies!
It's Sunday again and that means Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
Unfortunately, we do not have a sponsor this week BUT don't worry! Debbie has a prize for you so make sure you link up your creation!

We have this pretty color combo for you this week!
Aren't these cupcakes just adorable!?
I was totally inspired by this cute kids themed picture...;-)

These delicate pastel colors led me to this baby stamp set that I just got from Pink Fresh Studio ;-) I apologize for my dark photo, this was the only way the sentiment can be visible...ish...😣

"twinkle twinkle little star..." was heat embossed in white and again with clear embossing powder on my sponged watercolor paper. The star with the tiny star trail image was also heat embossed with white, then colored in with yellow so it didn't disappear in the background. The cloud with the tiny stars image was heat embossed with Pool Party embossing powder. This adorable moon with his night cap was stamped with Antique Linen Distressed Ink and very lightly wartercolored. Can you see that the moon is colored with blue? Ugh! I wish I was a better photographer!

With the star stencil, I added some stars with embossing paste, I just love how the paste adds a different texture and changes the whole look of cards!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
And again, I'm sorry for my awful photos this week!

Oh my goodness!
Isn't this the sweetest little thing ever!!? Seriously!!!

So as usual, these adorable little onesies were heat embossed on watercolor paper, water colored, then die cut with the coordinating die. I LOVE the little stitches that this die gives on the trims of the onesies! How clever is this!!? I gave a tutu to the pink onesie, I am obsessed with little tutus for my girls, they have so many!!! {giggle}

Can you see that the cloud paper looks like a wallpaper, and the distressed wood chevron paper looks like flooring in a nursery!? I made those little hangers out of paperclips, and hang them on a snippet of jude twine. Since there are so many patterns on this card, I only added little banners and that sweet sentiment that was heat embossed on vellum.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 379

Sunday, October 9, 2016

Hi there!
It is Sunday and that means it's time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
This week's sponsor is Sugar Pea Designs!
One random winner will receive a $20 gift certificate, wow!

Aww, what a cute theme!
Here is my take...;-)

I actually do not own any baby sets!
But isn't this sweet!?

This mama bunny and baby bunny image is from the Wishing You set by WPlus9.
It was heat embossed with Smoky Slate then die cut with the matching die. I only colored their cheeks and ears.

I LOVE this sentiment :-)
It took my husband and I 3 years to get pregnant with our oldest, and a year to get our twins! Our youngest was a total surprise, but all the 3 pregnancies were with high risk, so I never stopped worrying till they actually came out!

I thought this mama bunny made wishes on shooting stars, they gave her this little baby bunny, so now she is thanking them...:-) The design of this card is pretty simple, but it has many wishes and hopes :-) I think I will mail this to my baby cousin, who also had a hard time conceiving, when her baby girl is born ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs

Tuesday, August 23, 2016

Hello there, happy Tuesday!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today ;-)
I had just found out that my only girl cousin (on my mom's side) is pregnant!
So I wanted to send her my love ;-)

The Wild Child set is such a sweet, sweet set and I LOVE it!

I picked this super adorable penguin mama and her baby image because
#1 Umm, they're just too cute!
#2 My cousin is due in February
I stamped the image with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Spectrum Noir markers.
Seriously, it is SO MUCH FUN to color with them but it is TOTALLY different from watercolor!
I'm pretty stubborn so it'll take me a while to get used to them...*LOL*

The patterned paper behind the mama and baby is one of my Christmas packs, isn't it just perfect!? The silver snow paper is actually acetate on white base, so pretty!
I love my baby cousin, she was born and raised here in the US but she used to visit us in Japan with her dad (my mom's baby brother). Our family is in Japan and France, so we're the only cousins here in the US, girls gotta stick together, you know! I am so very happy for her :-)

*my notes*

Stamp: Wild Child (Newton's Nook Designs)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Silver Glimmer Paper, All is Calm DSP (SU!), Acetate Pad (We R Memory Keepers)
Ink: Spectrum Noir Markers
Tool: Die-namics Zig Zag Rectangle STAX (My Favorite Things), Scripty Word Die (Your Next Stamp)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
