Trick or Treat!

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

Hello, lovelies!
Tomorrow is already Halloween so I figured I'd make one more Halloween card and share it on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today!

Newton's Nook Designs Once Upon A Princess + Knight's Quest Sets - Naki Rager

I was inspired by my twins to create today's trick or treating card ;-)
My twin girl Terra is all about princesses and glitters so this year, she is going to be Cinderella. Then her twin brother Kaius wanted to be her prince! How stinkin' cute is that!!?

Newton's Nook Designs Once Upon A Princess + Knight's Quest Sets - Naki Rager

So I colored this little knight from the Knight's Quest Set and this little princess from the Once Upon A Princess Set. My little princess is holding a purple pumpkin bucket for her treats, which was borrowed from the Dress Up Doxies Set ;-) All the images were watercolored then die cut with their coordinating die sets, Knight's Quest Die Set, Once Upon A Princess Die Set, and Dress Up Doxies Die Set.

This awesome little sentiment die is from the Halloween Trio Die Set.
It was die cut from watercolor paper, colored with orange, yellow, and purple. Then some shimmer was applied with the clear glitter pen. I also splattered some shimmery black ink.

This spooky haunted mansion and a row of tombstones (not in this photo) from the Spooky Street Set were heat embossed with black glitter EP on vellum, were fussy cut, then the light green Nuvo Crystal Drop was applied to the windows.

To create this full moon, I used the Bokeh Stencil Set as a templet.
This is another reason I LOVE the NND Stencil line!

The background was created with Distress Oxide Inks and splatters of some water and shimmery gray ink. I added a few bats that were die cut using the little bat dies from the Halloween Trio Die Set to finish up this cute but spooky card ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Have a safe and happy Halloween 🎃👻🍭

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 4

Thursday, October 17, 2019

Hello, lovelies!
Today is the last day of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!
All the new awesome products will be available for purchase tomorrow Friday the 18th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Let's take a look at what we're revealing today!

OH.MY.GOSH.!!! 😭💕
Newton and his girlfriend had kittens together!!!!!!
The new Newton's Christmas Kittens Set truly melts my heart 💖

This new mini set Puppy Present couldn't get any sweeter!
Look at his sweet little face!!!

Here is another adorable mini set Purrfect Present!
This is simply adorable, it makes me purrrrr 😻💕
Alright, here is my take...;-)

Seriously, can they get any sweeter than this!!?

Coloring this adorable family was so much fun!
I stamped the image on watercolor paper and did no-line watercoloring.
I also made them Santa's hats, adult size and kid size, but you know there's always one kid that wants daddy's so daddy ends up with a teeny kid size {LOL}

This sweet image does not need many embellishments so after heat embossing the sentiment with gold EP, I only added a few each of gold and iridescent star confetti, and a piece of plaid washi tape and a couple of mini staples. This is one adorable family, I can't handle it!!!

I took advantage of these mini stamps' little size to create a couple of tags ;-)
The tags were die cut using the tag die from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set from kraft cardstock.

I watercolored this sweet kitty in the box and die cut it using the coordinating die.
The sentiment was heat embossed with rose gold EP on vellum so that my sparkly background, which was created with the new Christmas Lights Stencil set, wasn't all covered up.

Newton's nook DesignsPuppy Present Set - Naki Rager

This one is with the cute little pup ;-)
The same design as the kitty one, the pup was watercolored and die cut with the coordinating die, and the sentiment was heat embossed with turquoise EP.

I coordinated the twines with the colors of the boxes ;-)
These were super easy but super fun to make, I think I will make a whole bunch!

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 3

Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Hey, there, Newton lovers!
Today is day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release and we're revealing 2 awesome stamp sets along with their coordinating die sets!

The Holiday Fringe is a new addition to the Square Card Front line!
These square stamps are always jam-packed with so much fun!

Ohmygosh!!!
Isn't this simply amazing!!?
I totally fell in love with the new Main Street set the first time I saw it!
The coordinating die set comes with 3 bonus sentiment dies and that's always exciting as well!
Okay, here's my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Fringe Set - Naki Rager

I usually like non-traditional Christmas colors but this fun-filled image was begging me to go with the red x green ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Fringe Set - Naki Rager

I heat embossed the image with copper EP on a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" watercolor paper and watercolored it. I kind of assigned certain colors to certain objects so it didn't end up with 50 different colors. I added lots of sparkles to the light bulbs and ornaments with pearl watercolor AND glitter pen!

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Fringe Set - Naki Rager

I drew red diagonal stripes every 1/4" using my ruler and red watercolor colored pencil then colored in every other stripes. Now I am looking at this, maybe wider stripes might have been better but I still like how this turned out!

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

How cute is this little town image!!?
I was so excited to color these houses!

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock. I wanted fun and bright colors so it was colored in with Copic markers. The second building (looks like a church but could be anything) is my favorite with all those stained glass windows!

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

Santa Claus is busy delivering presents all over the world!
I heat embossed this small but magical image with sparkly black EP and die cut it with the coordinating die. Then I die cut the sliding path for him to keep moving on! I heat embossed the little snowflakes image with iridescent EP as Santa and his magical reindeer sprinkle some Christmas magic dust all over! They weren't very visible so I just went over the whole piece with the glitter pen {LOL}

Just to show some of the small details...
I applied yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops to each and every glass as glowing lights on Christmas night, also turquoise and copper on the Christmas tree.

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

I added this black and white striped washi tape on the bottom to look like roads, plus to match lots of blacks on these houses I used ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

Here are a couple of simple tags made with the Ornaments Stancil and the sentiment dies from the Main Street Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

The tags were die cut with the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set from white cardstock, and these beautiful ornaments were applied using the new Ornaments Stancil and Therm-O-Web Metallix Gel. The sentiment was die cut from the red foil sheet.

Newton's Nook Designs Main Street Set - Naki Rager

The believe sentiment was die cut from pink glimmer paper.
I like the red foil much better, what do you think?

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 2

Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 18th on the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 2 of the reveal and we're showcasing this sweet and adorable stamp set along with its coordinating die set called Festive Fawn.

I say this every time we get a new deer set, but I just LOVE Jen's sweet deer 💚
Here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

First up is this sweet, sweet image with the deer, bunny, and this awesome vintage looking snowman! I simply adore this trio 💗

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

I stamped the image on watercolor paper, did no-line watercoloring, and die cut using the coordinating die. Isn't this so stinkin' cute!!?

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

I heat embossed this cute sentiment and snowflakes with silver EP.

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

Soft colors and vellum hill, which was die cut using the hill die from the Land Borders Die Set, and vellum trees, which were die cut using the both big and small tree dies from the Forest Scene Builder Die Set, for the very subtle background.

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

My second card using the new Festive Fawn Set could be a continuum of the first card!

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

This sweet deer pulling the pile of presents on a sled is sooo pretty 💗
I colored and die cut all the images from the new Festive Fawn Set at the same time. I told you, I just love Jen's little deer!

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

This little Bambi's got a wreath around his neck, so stinkin' cute 💗

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

Another cute sentiment was heat embossed on the vellum hill with silver EP.

Newton's Nook Designs Festive Fawn Set - Naki Rager

The hill and deer on the front were popped on with foam tape then mounted on top of the other vellum hill to give some dimension. The background was created by blending blues and purples, and yellow and orange on the top.
