Hello, lovelies, happy Friday!

Newton's Nook Designs Toucan Party Set - Naki Rager

I chose the new Toucan Party set for this special occasion ;-)
These beautiful, colorful birds are so festive and fun, just perfect for the celebration!

This beauty was heat embossed with Pool Party embossing powder on watercolor paper, water colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Set, and die cut with the coordinating die set. She dressed up for the party with a little flower on her head, which was also heat embossed, watercolored, and die cut. I borrowed those tropical leaves from the Hibiscus Die set, they were die cut first, sponged with Distress Oxide Ink, and some water was splattered. Of course, the sentiment die is from the new Cocktail Mixer Die Set ;-)

Gold glimmer sentiment, gold striped washi tape, gold thread, and sparkling clear sequins add so much more fun to this card, don't you think!?

Hello, lovelies!

Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs 4 Year Celebration!

All the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow Friday the 14th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!

Today is the last day of the reveal, and we are showcasing the Cosmic Newton Set along with the coordinating die set ;-)

Ohhhhhh my goodness!!!

Isn't this so very excitingly adorable!!?

We all know that this lucky little kitty travels all over the world, and this month, he is going to the outer space! FAR OUT!

Newton's Nook Designs Cosmic Newton Set - Naki Rager

I just LOVE this stargazing kitty image! It's just so adorable!

I couldn't resist but to create a night sky filled with twinkling stars, which I used Distress Oxide Ink, some water splatters, and the Starfield Stencil with the Metallic Gold Embossing Paste ;-) To add more sparkle, I heat embossed 3 shooting stars with gold embossing powder, and gold washi tape with white stars on the side.

My kitty was stamped with Smoky Slate on watercolor paper, watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush set, and die cut with the coordinating die. A little bit of Glossy Accent was applied where the lens is, I love that little bottle of sticky goo! The grass was die cut from the green and yellow vellum with the Land Borders Die set and sewn together, then popped on over my kitty with 3D clear tape.

Apparently, stargazing wasn't enough for Newton so he has become an astronaut!
The background was sponged with Distress Oxide ink, some water and copper ink were splattered, and heat embossed one of the stars from the Starfield Stencil with Metallic Copper embossing powder.

Look how cute he is in his little space suite!
He was heat embossed with Smoky Slate on watercolor paper, water colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Set, and die cut with the coordinating die. I added some glossy accents to his helmet.

So this cutest little astronaut orbits! Isn't it so much fun!!?
I didn't add a lot of embellishments, or anything really, so that he could go round smoothly ;-)

Hello, lovelies!

Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs 4 Year Celebration!

Today is day 3, and we're showcasing the Toucan Party Set along with the coordinating die set! All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 14th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!

I know, I know!!!

How stinkin' cute are these little birdies!!?

The first time I saw this set, I was just going ooh and ahh over the cute images, and didn't even notice the cute sentiments! {LOL}

My first card with this super fun set!

I actually wasn't sure what colors toucans were, thank goodness for Google! {LOL}

I knew they were colorful and beautiful, but WOW! Talk about inspirations!

I chose this cute couple of toucans ;-) I mean, how can you not ink up this sweet image!?

And this sweet pair needed to be watercolored, no-line watercolor to be exact! It was a lot of fun coloring these cuties, but I really had to be careful not to make it muddy!

With all these bright colors, I thought the rest should be kept quieter, and black and white seemed like the perfect choice!

Here is my second card with the Toucan Party set!
The sentiment "Toucan party better than one" inspired me this time ;-)
I had a few silly ideas, but these birds are just too cute and colorful, I figured they're THE PARTY! {LOL}

These cuties were heat embossed with white on watercolor paper, watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush set (LOVE the b, right colors on them!), and die cut with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was heat embossed with Black Sparkle Embossing Powder on my sponged background. I wanted just a little more color so watercolored some flowers and leaves too ;-)

Hi there, lovelies!

Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs 4 Year Celebration!

We are on day 2 of the reveal, and showcasing 2 new fun sets today!

They will be available for purchase along with the rest of this month's release this Friday the 14th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!

This is called Cocktail Mixer set, isn't this just so much fun!? ;-)

Jen even added a sentiment die! eeeeek!

Oh my goodness!

This one is called Stowaway Newton, simply adorable! Newton does travel all over the world so it makes complete sense to have him pack his luggage, right!?

And again, because Jen is so awesome, she added a sentiment die!

Newton's Nook Designs Cocktail Mixer - Naki Rager

My first card is pretty simple ;-)

I applied embossing paste over some of the leaves of the Tropical Leaves Stencil ;-)

My drink was heat embossed in white on vellum and colored with several shades of pink markers, I die cut to create a window using the coordinating die, then placed the pretty pink drink behind it.

Isn't this stencil just beautiful!!?

This would add so much fun to your summer or tropical projects!

So this is actually a shaker card, you can't see the clear beads behind my pretty pink drink... I was so mad/sad when I couldn't see them! {LOL} I liked the design enough so I added a few clear sequins on the front of it and decided to just enjoy the sound...{LOL}

My second card with the Cocktail Mixer set is more festive ;-)

I stamped 2 of the sentiments from the set repeatedly on the base card.

Two drinks were stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper, watercolored, and die cut with the coordinating die. I also used the sentiment die from the same set. I layered 3 of them, the top one was heat embossed wit iridescent embossing power.

Here is my first card with the Stowaway Newton set ;-)
Isn't this just so cute!? and so CAT!!! {LOL}
I had the perfect patterned paper pad for travel theme! And I thought a globe and a film strip would go well with the theme ;-)

This adorable, adventurous image was stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink on Neenah White Cardstock, colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, and die cut with the coordinating die. Of course I had to use the sentiment die, which 3 of them were cut and layered. The top one was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

This sentiment "Oh, the places you'll go!" inspired me to make this one!
I used the Pawprint Stencil with embossing paste, making it look like my kitty is leaving his trail behind ;-)

Isn't this just a must for us Newton lovers!!?

This time, the image was stamped with the Ranger Archival Black Ink on watercolor paper, watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Set, and die cut with the coordinating die. I tried to color with other than watercolor with this release, but I have to be totally honest with you, I am so comfortable with watercolor, and just love the look of it, too!

Newton's Nook Designs 4 year Celebration Day 1

Hello, lovelies!

We are celebrating Newton's Nook Designs 4 year anniversary this week! Woo Hoo!

Happy Birthday to NND, and congratulations to Jen and Jeff! I am so honored to be a part of this big celebration!

Today is the first day of the new release, and we are revealing a whole bunch of new, fun stuff! All of the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 14th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop ;-)

Are you ready to them!!?

YES! Stencils!!! {Woo Hoo!!!}

Stencils are so fun and versatile, especially when they're as fabulous as these!

I will show you individual images later...;-)

Border dies are also fun and versatile, and this time, it's waves!

I just LOVE.LOVE.LOVE.this little stamp!

The sentiment is so inspirational, and those little images are just fabulous!

And here's this awesome set!

Winston certainly knows how to have fun, doesn't he!?

Newton's Nook Designs Lake Advice - Naki Rager

First up is this cool summer design with the Lake Advice Set and the Waves Stencil ;-)

I sponged blue and yellow distress oxide ink on watercolor paper, splattered a lot of water, and added fun waves with the Muti Medium Matte. I love how it dries clear and shiny!

Aren't these waves just so much fun!?

Stencils are definitely one of my favorite tools ;-)

I heat embossed the sentiment with Pool Party Embossing Powder on vellum and sewed onto my lake panel. I watercolored the little boat and fussy cut, then placed it as it was on the waves ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Winston's Lake House - Naki Rager

My second card of the day was created with the Winston's Lake House set and the Waves Borders Die set. I actually have never been to a lake house, the closest experience has to be my only camping trip when I was 12. I still remember the beautiful starry sky, and that was totally my inspiration for this card ;-) I created the night sky with Distress Oxide Ink, splatters of water, white and pewer ink sprays, and silver star sequins! Winston is just chilling by the die-cut-deep-blue-vellum-lakeside.

This cute Winston relaxing in his chair image was stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink, colored in with Spectrum Noir Markers, and die cut with the coordinating die. I borrowed the camp fire and s'more images from the retiring Campfire Trail Set, which were stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, colored in with Spectrum Noir Markers, and fussy cut. I also added some sparkle with Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

Here's another card with the Winston's Lake House.
This adorable image of Winston and his little chocolate lab pup friend are enjoying a nice, quiet time in the lake. THe background was sponged with Distress Oxide and some water and white ink were splattered all over. I also added light blue vellum that I die cut with one of the wave borders dies.

The image was stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, colored in with the colored pencils, then die cut it with the coordinating die. The lake house behind them was created the same way. The sentiment was heat embossed with copper embossing, I love this sentiment, don't you!?
