I LOVE cats, and I LOVE Halloween...this is my favorite Newton set ever.......💖
Here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Costume Party Set - Naki Rager

Honestly, I couldn't pick just one or two costumes, or figure out how to have my kitty change all his costumes on one card, so I made a magnet set ;-)
I bought my twins these little magnet play set that are in a thin, rectangle tin can last winter, and that's what I wanted to make but I had NO tin cans!!! 😐

Here's my petty kitty dressed as a fierce shark...(he is just adorable 💖)

Newton's Nook Designs September Release Day 3

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

Hi, there lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs September Release!

All the new sets will be available for purchase this Friday the 15th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 3 of the reveal and we are showcasing 2 fabulous set along with the coordinating die sets! I hope you're ready for more Halloween fun!

Aren't these intricate designs just simply beautiful!!?
How does Jen draw something like this!!?

This set is so fun, I can't wait til it' Halloween!!!

Here are my takes...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Spooky Silhouettes Set - Naki Rager

I borrowed that fabulous spooky mansion from the Spooky Street set to create a Halloween night scene. The sky and grass are creepy purple, the moon and stars are shining silver, and there are animal skeletons walking around! After everything was assembled together, I thought to myself, I should have used some fun patterned papers instead of solid purple...:-( So why didn't I make another one?

Newton's Nook Designs Spooky Silhouettes Set - Naki Rager

Because I used the Chibi lights to make it super spooky!
The mansion and dog were heat embossed with sparkle black embossing powder on vellum so that the lights can come through easily ;-) The bat was added after it was put all together and that's why he doesn't light up.

Mewton's Nook Designs Beautiful bones Set - Naki Rager

So I made a day of the dead banner ;-)
I really wanted to color these beauties! {LOL}
I will be honest, I wasn't too familiar with day of the dead, I knew what it was, but that was pretty much it. So I googled and educated myself a bit ;-)

Mewton's Nook Designs Beautiful bones Set - Naki Rager

How they paint their faces with beautiful, bright colors is simply amazing!
That is a work of art for certain!

Mewton's Nook Designs Beautiful bones Set - Naki Rager

So I heat embossed all 4 images with black embossing powder on watercolor paper, colored them with my Zig Watercolor pens, and die cut them with the coordinating die. I did not use ant water like I normally do, these pens have intense colors and that's what I wanted.

Mewton's Nook Designs Beautiful bones Set - Naki Rager

They decorate for this celebration and I saw a ton of pretty flowers in the photos.
I made these paper flowers/pom poms out of tissue paper to mimic the beautiful decorations ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs September Release Day 2

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

Hello, my lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs September Release!
All the new sets will be available for purchase this Friday the 15th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
On day 2, we are showcasing the Spooky Cameo Set along with the coordinating die set, plus the Cameo Frame Die!

Ohhhhhh.My.Goodness.!!!
Isn't this so totally awesome!!?
This stamp set reminds me of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland/world, so fun!

Alright, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Set - Naki Rager

I originally had a different design with this set, but after heat embossing those 2 couples, this sweet but still spooky design came to me! If you have been to Disneyland/world and rode the Haunted Mansion, it's dark, cold, and full of ghosts! {LOL} So this black and white color scheme made sense ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Set - Naki Rager

This lovely couple was heat embossed with Pumice Stone embossing powder on vellum then die cut with the coordinating die set. originally, I was going to use the Cameo Frame die with them but they looked so in love with each other, I had to use a heart instead ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Set - Naki Rager

My second card is more colorful and fun ;-)
Those silhouettes were stamped with typical Halloween colors with Distress Oxide ink, then I splashed some water and black ink.

Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Set - Naki Rager

The Cameo Frame was die cut from black glimmer paper, isn't it just awesome!?
I heat embossed the sentiment with pumice stone embossing powder on vellum then it was die cut with the outline of the frame die, and the black frame was mounted on. I added a black oval piece behind so the sentiment is more visible.
I think this turned out really fun!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

Hello, lovelies!
Have you heard of STAMPtember?
Over at Simon Says Stamp, they collaborate with many of the manufacturers that they carry in thier shop and make exclusive stamp sets that are only available in the Simon Says Stamp Shop in September! And Newton's Nook Designs is participating again this year!
(Just a note:This set will not be available in the NND shop!)
I literally squealed when I first saw this set!
I mean, just look at it!!! {eeeeeeeek!}
This is called "Loads of Thanks", as you can see, you can kind of mix and match different loads for the puppy's wheelbarrow, how cute and fun is this!!? :-D

Here is my take...;-)

These images are so sweet, I had to do no-line coloring and sponged background for a soft look ;-)

I stamped this adorable pup pushing his little wheelbarrow image with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper, then stamped the kitty with pumpkins image right on the wheelbarrow. Oh my goodness, it's so sweet I can't deal with it! {LOL} They must be best buddies, and went pumpkin picking on a beautiful fall day...:-)
As you can probably tell, this was fussy cut, but the coordinating die set will be available in the Simon Says Stamp Shop along with the stamp set today ;-)

I am totally in love with this sweet sentiment 💗
It was heat embossed with copper embossing powder on the front panel, which was sponged with Distress Oxide ink on watercolor paper, then splattered some water and orange ink. It needed a bit more sparkle, clear sequins were just perfect ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Make sure to go to Simon Says Stamp Blog and check out what the rest of the DT made with this adorable set, which is exclusively available in their shop while supplies last! Don't wait too long because they sell quickly! ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs September Release Day 1 - Shades of Autumn Set

Monday, September 11, 2017

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs September Release Week!
All the new sets will be available for purchase this Friday the 15th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!

On day 1 of the reveal, we are showcasing this gorgeous set, Shades of Autumn!
If you love pretty fall leaves, this set is definitely for you!

Does this set just take your breath away!?
Wait until you get your hands on this beauty and stamp yourself, it is simply beautiful!

newton's Nook Designs Falling Leaves Stencil - Naki Rager

Woo Hoo!
Jen made another stencil, and this is so lovely :-)

Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Shades of Autumn Set - Naki Rager

I knew as soon as I saw this set, they would look beautiful with Distress Oxide ink! and that is exactly how I inked up these gorgeous images :-) I normally pick craft cardstock for my base when making a fall card, but I thought white would make these pretty colored leaves pop! I was right, wasn't I ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Shades of Autumn Set - Naki Rager

Yup! It's a shaker ;-)
I picked all those beautiful fall colored sequins, plus gold bead seeds.
This gorgeous sentiment was heat embossed with copper embossing powder on yellow vellum.

Newton's Nook Designs Shades of Autumn Set - Naki Rager

My second card is showcasing the beautiful Falling Leaves Stencil ;-)
I sponged versamark on Crumb Cake cardstock over the stencil then heat set with white embossing powder. Isn't it just gorgeous!?

Newton's Nook Designs Shades of Autumn Set - Naki Rager

These beautiful die cut leaves and acorn are made with the Autumn Leaves Die Set from last month's release. I heat embossed another one of beautiful sentiments from the set on this die cut tag, Tags Times Two Die Set, then adhered the leaves and acorn on it. A few yellow enamel dots were added as a finishing touch ;-)
