Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge!

Honeycomb Embossing Folder

Color Combo
Poppy Parade
Calypso Coral
Night of Navy

What I was going for is a honeycomb puzzle! I can't say I'm happy with the result, but I don't hate it either. The colors are very elegant:-)

When I feel I need to add some embellishments, I go for the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and Pearls, can't go wrong with these tiny flowers:-)

My Notes...

Stamp set: Nature Walk
Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy, Everyday Enchantment DSP (Retired)
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessory: Pearl Basic Jewels
Tool: Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now Let's go to Nina's blog and check out her beautiful card!

Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge!

Do Not Use the Big Shot Machine

Pink

Here is my pink card:-)
I had this totally different design in my head, but when I sat down at my desk, this designed just popped in my head from NO WHERE! No inspiration or anything!

I used the Heart template from the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack to give myself a guideline to place all those little hearts, I only pierced every other hole very lightly.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners set was heat embossed in the Pool Party Emboss Powder on Basic Gray, then it was cut with the Paper Snips. No, I did NOT use my Big Shot!

I punched out 18 hearts each in Real Red and Primerose Petals. Before using the Liquid Glue, I placed every one of them on the guideline to make sure they all fit. It will make this easier if you use a good pair of tweezers:-)

My Notes...

Stamp set: Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Primerose Petals, Real Red, Basic Gray, More Amore SDSP
Ink: Versamark
Accessory: Sycamore Street Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Tool: Heart, Small Heart, Owl Builder Punches, Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now let's head over to Nina's blog and check out her pink card:-)

Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge 21

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Hello there! Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge!

Use Sale-a-Bration Items

Bunting

This card was super fun to make!
Nina's fun pick immediately gave me this vintage, carnival looking design:-)
Here I used the Feeling Sentimental set and the Vintage Verses set, both Sale-a-Bration products!

As usual, I went crazy with the bunting:-) Lots and lots of embellishments! I used the World Spectacular DSP and picked out Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Early Espresso from it.

That cute little Pool Party Button and the Satin Ribbons are from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, one of the Sale-a-Bration items that you can get for free with $50 purchase!

To keep the bunting as the focal point of this card, I didn't want any layers or colors on the base. I couldn't help myself with the teeny tiny pearls on the sentiment though...he he;-D

My notes...

Stamp set: Feeling Sentimental, Vintage Verses (Both SAB)
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla,Early Espresso, Pool Party, World Spectacular DSP
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessory: Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Calypso Coral 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, Crochet Trim, Pool Party Baker's Twine, Pearl and Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Hemp Twine (Retired)
Tool: Delicate Doilies Sizzlits Die, Bitty Banners Framelits Die, Owl Builder Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes and Little Labels Punch Packs, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
