Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs April Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 20th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is our 3rd day of the reveal and we're showcasing this super adorable "Umbrella Pals" stamp set along with the coordinating die set!

OH.MY.GOODNESS.!!!
Now how stinkin' cute are these critter umbrellas!!? 💙💛💙
Here go my projects...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Umbrella Pals Set - Naki Rager

Seriously, they can't get any cuter than this!!! 😆
I wanted the background to be rainy but still bright and fun, so I watercolored with Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, and a hint of Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink, then splattered white ink all over as the rain.

I had a few different designs and was working on one of them, but I totally lost to the temptation and started another in the middle of the first project! Sometimes that leads to a totally different design and this card is one of those {LOL} I couldn't help myself, It was just too much fun coloring and assembling these little umbrellas! So that's why I have heat embossed, some stamped and die cut...😝

I mean, just look at them! Every critter in this set is soooo cute 💛

My youngest LOVES to get rained/snowed on her face, and I love seeing her big smile 💙 I personally don't mind rain myself either, but she sure does make any rainy days brighter 😉 The cloud was die cut with the Sky Borders Die Set from Vellum, I actually angled the die to get one side lower than the other to fit the sentiment on.

My second card of the day is probably the quickest card to make, ever!
First I sponged the big circle with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink, splattered some water, then heat embossed the sentiment and the raindrops with white embossing powder. I borrowed cute little clouds from the Newton Scoots By Set and die cut them from the Linen Cardstock and popped them on with foam tape. I filled in the raindrops with the Silver Lining Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Of course, I had to use this bonus stitched umbrella die! I die cut the umbrella and the handle from this yellow striped patterned paper, isn't it adorable!?
This sentiment is very sweet 💛 It was heat embossed with light gray embossing powder to match the umbrella, I also die cut the little heart from the Newton Scoots By Set just because ;-)
