Newton's Nook Designs 5 Year Celebration! Day 3

Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs 5 Year Celebration!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 20th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today we are revealing 2 more stamp sets, Shark Frenzy and Flamingo Flock

 I absolutely LOVE these big stamps!
And now we have SHARKS 💙
AND FLAMINGOS!!!
Funny because I was just thinking "Jen hadn't made new flamingos" before she showed us this image! It couldn't be any better than this! 💗

Alright, here I go...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Shark Frenzy Set - Naki Rager

I love sharks, but that doesn't mean I'd jump in the water filled with them like my card today! {LOL} They do make a fun looking gang though, don't they!? ;-) I LOVE how there's one Hammerhead Shark hiding...{LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Shark Frenzy Set - Naki Rager

Just like any species, there are many different types of sharks.
I chose Lemon Sharks for my card ;-) I totally exaggerated the yellow on them, they look more like THIS ↴

I borrowed the "NOM! NOM! NOM!" sentiment from the Shark Bites Set and heat embossed with white EP on gray cardstock, then chopped it up into 3 little pieces.

I mixed embossing paste and silver glitter ink from the Stella Glitter Pen to make some waves on the background using the Waves Stencil. The sentiment was heat embossed with Silver EP on vellum, which was die cut with Frames & Flags Die Set

I had little helpers color these for me ;-) The top row is my boy Kai's work, he colored them in less than 5 minutes {LOL} The bottom row is my girl Terra's work, she took her time coloring every and each shark different colors! We know who's more like their mama {Hee Hee}
My twins are turning 5 next month and I am throwing them a party, and the theme is "Sharks and Mermaids"! I know! This release is perfect! The twins and I stamped the image using the Tonic Stamp Platform (it is totally pre-schooler-proof! LOL) on the panel that was die cut with the Framework Die Set. I borrowed the fun "WANTED" sentiment from the Newton Rides West Set, "wanted for the twins' party" 😉

Newton's Nook Designs Flamingo Flock Set - Naki Rager

These lovely birds are oh-so "Pretty in Pink", aren't they!?
Coloring them was an absolute blast! 💗

This sentiment is simply fabulous!
So fabulous that it gave me an idea to give some of my pink birds the sparkly crowns, which I borrowed from the Once Upon A Princess Die Set. I wanted to give boys bowties, but didn't have any that was the right size!

I fussy cut my image then mounted on the vellum with stripes, which was die cut with the Frames & Flags Die Set (man! I just can't stay away from this set! lol)
