Newton's Nook Designs x Therm-O-Web Inspiration Week

Thursday, September 19, 2019

Hello, lovelies!
This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for fabulous Fall, Halloween and Christmas inspiration! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps!

I made 3 cards with each theme so this is going to be a photo-heavy post so let's get started!

Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Trio Set - Naki Rager

First up is my favorite holiday of all, Halloween!
And I made a pretty spooky card, too!

The very first thing I did was to try out the Therm-O-Web Deco Foil Black Velvet Flock Transfer Sheets to create this spooky background using the NND Flying Bats Stencil. My bats are all fuzzy and so velvety, I simply LOVE how they came out!

I stamped this cute trio in their costumes from the NND Halloween Trio Stamp Set right on the front panel then added tons of shadow with black colored pencil. It was so much fun to color them looking frightened and spooky (even though I am such a chicken, I can't even handle horror movies! LOL). Below them is my heat embossed sentiment, I know it doesn't look great there but scroll down...;-)

It glows in the dark 👽
I LOVE it!

My fall card is for Thanksgiving.
For this one, I tried the Therm-O-Web Deco Foil Metallix Gel, can you see how creamy and shimmery and gorgeous they are in their jars!!? They look absolutely YUM!!! 💗

I created this gorgeous background using the NND Tree Rings Stencil.
I applied the Champagne Mist Metallix Gel to create the rings inside first, then used the Aged Copper Metallix Gel for the rim. They are really creamy and spread beautifully, it was really easy to work with! Once they're dry, look how beautiful!

I wasn't sure which fall stamp set to use so I flipped through my NND stash and why not Thanksgiving!? This adorable image is from the Newton's Cornucopia Stamp Set. I stamped it on watercolor paper, did no-line coloring, then die cut using the coordinating die. I like to color in general but fall images especially pumpkins are my favorite things to color!

The sentiment was heat embossed with orange EP on vellum and it was fussy cut, then popped on over the cornucopia. I do love my sequins but this one didn't need any, it already has enough shimmer!

And here is my very first Christmas card of the year!
For this one, I tried the Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel.

I created this background using the NND Cascading Stars Stencil and the TOW Gina K. Designs Gold Glitz Glitter Gel. It looks just like heat embossing, right? But it was much easier and faster to do using the Glitz Glitter Gel! They have so many colors, I need to order more myself!!!

Now choosing one Chrismas Image was hard but for this card, the Newton's Candy Cane Set stopped me from flipping through my NND stash further. I love red with light blue for Christmas cards! I made this kitty a light gray tuxedo because #1 I LOVE tuxie cats! #2 light color wouldn't disturb my red & blue color scheme. After coloring my kitty, he was die cut using the coordinating die.

Instead of a sentiment, I die cut "HO HO HO" using one of the confetti dies from the Ornament Shaker Die Set from red foil sheet. I added the foil red and white candy cane stripe washi tape on the side to really tie the whole look together.
Super easy but super cute and fun, don't you agree!!? ;-)

There are more amazing projects today over on the Therm O Web blog so pop over there for more inspiration!
