Thursday, June 18, 2020

Hello, Newton lovers!
Today kicks off the Newton's Nook Designs June Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 19th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
For day 4 and we're revealing 2 stamp sets so here we go!

I know!!!
Can this get any sweeter than this!!?

And then we have this beautiful Roses Stamp set 💗
Aren't they simply lovely!!?
Here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Porch Swing Friends Set - Naki Rager

I say this all the time but when an image is this sweet, you really don't need to embellish your card that much :-)

2 friends taking an afternoon nap together...so sweet 💛
Of course, I had to do no-line watercoloring!
Just like my horse yesterday, I messed up the swing after coloring everything (eeeeeek!!!) so I fussy cut the 2 buddies and 3 pillows, heat embossed the image with white EP, recolored the blanket and swing and paper piece it.

These bonus sentiment dies are simply awesome!
I applied some sparkle with the clear glitter pen (can't see it in this photo though, sorry, the camera on my phone has been a total jerk!) I was going for a sunset background but I changed my mind and went with the rainbow colors instead ;-) I then die cut the panel using the scallop frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set, and mounted it on another watercolored paper.

I thought shabby chic was very fitting for these roses :-)
I had never made these long cards that everyone is making lately until I got these awesome Slimline Frames Die Sets and am just loving them so much!

When you color in images, they really come to life, and these roses look amazing colored in! I actually used purple but I water down my colors so much, it's pink now! But I still love it :-)

Yellow roses are my favorite of all roses!
The meaning of yellow roses is jealousy, it sort of fits me because I am also a Scorpio and we're passionate and jealousy people! {LOL}

This sentiment was heat embossed with the same blue as the paper used for the frame.
(I started as a SU Demo so I have TONS of their patterned paper, and I love how they match their ink colors!)Anyway, it was heat embossed on this vellum banner that was die cut using the stitched banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  Same thing for the skinny banner underneath. The stitched circle was from the Circle Frames Die Set, and the bottom one is one of the bonus dies that come with the Slimeline Frames & Windows Die Set.
