Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge 21

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Hello there! Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge!

Use Sale-a-Bration Items

Bunting

This card was super fun to make!
Nina's fun pick immediately gave me this vintage, carnival looking design:-)
Here I used the Feeling Sentimental set and the Vintage Verses set, both Sale-a-Bration products!

As usual, I went crazy with the bunting:-) Lots and lots of embellishments! I used the World Spectacular DSP and picked out Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Early Espresso from it.

That cute little Pool Party Button and the Satin Ribbons are from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, one of the Sale-a-Bration items that you can get for free with $50 purchase!

To keep the bunting as the focal point of this card, I didn't want any layers or colors on the base. I couldn't help myself with the teeny tiny pearls on the sentiment though...he he;-D

My notes...

Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge 19

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Hi there! Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge!

Use the Print Poetry DSP Stack

Use Border Punch

I got a little help from Freshly Made Sketches this week:-)

The new Print Poetry DSP Stack is full of lovely designs! So I thought to showcase a different ones on this card, it's like a sample sheet:-) I'm sure you've seen this hexagon trick with the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder. It really is easy and not that time consuming, but sure wish Stampin' Up! will come up with a punch to coordinate...

This 7/16" Natural trim Ribbon is just beautiful! I love anything natural or organic!
I layered the Crumb Cake border and the Midnight Muse border to repeat the colors in the hexagons, and still kept the organic look too.

I often make cards with no specific occasions, that way when I need a card, all I need to do is stamp a sentiment:-)

My Notes...

Stamp set: Tiny Tags
Paper: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse, Print Poetry DSP Stack
Ink: Midnight Muse
Accessory: 7/16" Natural Trim Ribbon, Linen Thread, Pearl Basic Jewels
Tool: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border and Jewelry Tag Punches, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Glue Dots

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now let's go see Nina's card:-) Then grab your DSP and punch and join the fun!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

Here is my card for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge! I am usually one of the first one to enter, but I was a little busy last week, and I wasn't sure if I could come up with any idea in these colors!

PPA150 Color Challenge

Very bold colors!

Layers and layers of flowers to make a bold and dramatic statement! The new Large Rhinestone from the Spring Catalog was the perfect finishing touch:-)

I was telling my friend Nina that this color combo is out of my comfort zone and wasn't sure if  I was able to create something... but once I started playing, it was a lot of fun! This is why I love playing this challenge:-)

My notes...

Accessory: Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels
