Hi there, happy April!
Hope you all had a nice Easter ;-)
This week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is sponsored by My Creative Time!
We have a really pretty colors for you this week!
So springy, so fresh!
Here is my take...
I actually had a very difficult time with this color scheme... I had a completely different design first, then I really disliked it!
So I went through my stash of stamp sets to see which one would work well with these pastel colors, and I had this perfect set! I stamped and water colored this adorable hippo with Soft Sky, and stamped and water colored the cute chick with So Saffron. The sentiment (which is my favorite! How cute is this!!?) was heat embossed with Blushing Bride on vellum.
I stamped 3 balloons with Smoky Slate then water colored them with Soft Sky, So Saffron, and Blushing Bride. And I got the idea of making a shaker card ;-) I die cut the circle in this super cute patterned paper from Crate Paper's Wonder (SO CUTE!) I put a lot of confetti in my plastic bag that craft dies come in, which I save (hoard...lol).
I think using a plastic bag is so much easier than using a window sheet and foam tape!
*AKA lazy way*
This is the back of it, I just basically taped the crap out of it on the back...LOL
Before mounting this on my base, I put the circle back behind the plastic bag (obviously I lined up the patterns.)
I added the gold vellum scallop circle on the front, popped my little critters with foam tape, and it's hard to see but a snippet of blue seam binding underneath the sentiment too.
I love how this card turned out, and it didn't take that long to make believe it or not!
