Hi there!
Today I have a card that I made for my dear friend who likes anything and everything tropical!
I got a little help from the Sketch For You To Try Challenge over at Reverse Confetti ;-)
Isn't this such a fun and brilliant sketch!?
Here is my take...
Tomorrow is my friend's birthday, I send her a card every year.
I'm sure we're all guilty of this, but it is so much easier to post everything on social media these days, but she's gone though some very tough times and I want to remind her that it is okay to celebrate her special day. So sending her a card is my way of helping her do so ;-)
When I hear tropical, I think of pineapples. It is also my favorite fruit! yum, yum;-D
I stamped the pineapple with So Saffron then used my smallest paint brush and some water to blend. I then colored the cracks with Pear pizzazz. The leaves were stamped with Gumball Green and blended with a paintbrush and water also.
After the sentiment was heat embossed, it was die cut then the background was colored with Pool Party.
I went though my stash of patterned paper, and I thought this one looked good! It is a pretty busy pattern so the rest was kept simple and subtle. I colored the wooden bird and music notes with glitter paint. The colors show much better than glitter pens on wood!
That little gold trim is from Target's $1 shelf, I love their cute little stationary!
My notes...
