Hello, Newton lovers!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 19th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop! Today is day two of the reveal and let's just say, these sets will make you squeal ;-)
This adorable set is called Nutcracker Squeak 💚
And I thought Jen's mice couldn't get any cuter, she had them dressed up and it is just killing me!!!
This one is called Caroling Newton 🎵
How stinkin' cute is this trio of caroling kitties!!?
And do you see the little mouse, too!? 😍
Alright, here is what I created...;-)
My first card with the Nutcracker Squeak Set is a trio of adorable ballerinas dancing together 💛💗💙
I wanted one to be the Plum Sugar Fairy but she is so cute, I couldn't just color one! Also, this way, this design can be used for any occasions, all you need to do is change the sentiment ;-)
Ballet is so elegant and beautiful, isn't it!? Every move is simply amazing but I especially adore the move when multiple ballerinas hold hands while their arms crossed in front of them, and walk (more like hop on their toes) sideways. I'm sure it has a name but I know nothing about ballet... Anyway, that is what my sweet ballerinas are doing here ;-) And they slide together, too ;-)
Can I just tell you that my second card with the Nutcracker Squeak Set here looks MUCH BETTER in person!? {LOL} I used the Stick-it adhesive sheet to mount the vellum piece and that made the patterned paper really come through! 😣
This sentiment was heat embossed with gold tinsel EP. I usually lose a lot of glitters while heat setting but this one turned out to be so beautiful! Too bad I made that boo boo with the adhesive...can't win, can I...{LOL}
Look at these cuties! 💗
I recently bought a light gray alcohol-based ink pad because I absolutely hate staining my stamps with black ink! And the bonus of using this ink, which totally surprised me, is that when you watercolor, the ink absorbs the colors and makes it look like no-line coloring!
Seriously, how cute are these little guys!!?
The French Horn was colored with light pink first, then colored with light gold pearl watercolor to create "ROSE GOLD". Isn't it beautiful!?
I wasn't sure if this stamp set was based on the book or the ballet, but that really doesn't matter when they're this sweet and cute, does it!? ;-)
These sweet caroling kitties are too cute, they're killing me!!!
I couldn't decide if I wanted to color to give different markings or leave them all white, then I had this blended piece of watercolor paper that I made for another project but ended up not using and since it is colorful (unlike my usual color pallet!), keeping them all white was the way ;-)
My kitties were stamped with light gray ink, watercolored, then die cut using the coordinating die set. The sentiment (SOOOO CUTE 💗) was heat embossed with silver EP on vellum banner, which was die cut using the Frames and Flags Die Set. I also added little holly leaves and berries to it.
I also used the new Music Stencil and glimmer paste on the background. It made perfect sense to pair it with this stamp set, was I right ;-)
My second card with the Caroling Newton Set is all about these wee guys! EEK 💙
When you multiply a cute wee guy by 10, apparently this is what happens ;-)
They look like they're singing their little hearts out, don't they!? Just LOVE them 💙
I really liked the red foil sentiment on my tone-on-tone-kraft-card yesterday so here it is again ;-) I also simply could not stay away from the new Holiday Greeting Die Set, but then again, how could I!?
Instead of my usual sequins as a finishing touch, I heat embossed some music notes with white EP. It really completes the whole look of this design!
