Hello, Newton lovers!
We continue on with the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release and today is day 3, and we have really awesome Christmas sets to reveal!
This adorable new stamp set is called Holiday Stockings, how cute are they!?
Here we have are the new ornamental Wishes Stamp Set and the Ornament Shaker Die Set! They're just like the Uplifting Wishes Stamp Set and the Balloon Shaker Die Set, you can stamp the sentiments inside the shaker but you can totally use them separately, too!
Alright, here is what I came up with...;-)
First up is this rustic card with the Holiday Stockings Set ;-)
The postage frame was die cut using the Framework Die Set.
All the images from the set are so stinkin' cute and I actually watercolored them all and tried several designs but none of them really made me happy, then I realized I like neutral colors for my decorations ;-) Once I heat embossed these 3 stockings with white EP on Kraft cardstock, the rest came together like magic ;-) I hang them on this branch die cut using the What A Hoot Die Set ;-)
I die cut this little tag using the Tags Times Two Die Set for the sentiment, which was heat embossed with copper EP. A little aqua bow on top for a pop of color ;-)
My second card with the new Holiday Stockings Set has a very similar design but looks totally different! Can you see the pretty snow on the background? I like white embossing paste on white cardstock, it might not be as noticeable but the textures look so nice!
I still stuck with no-coloring but for these, I heat embossed with coral EP on vanilla cardstock, then added these super cute pom-pom trims ;-)
And instead of a smaller branch, I used the birch tree from the new Forest Scene Builder Die Set to hang my stockings. The glittery coral sentiment was die cut using the Holiday Greetings Die Set ;-)
Here is my first card with the Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set and Ornament Shaker Die Set ;-)
The design itself is pretty simple but it has a lot of sparkles ;-)
The little gingerbread man cookies, stockings, and Ho Ho Ho confetti inside the shaker were die cut using the new Ornament Shaker Die Set, aren't they cute!? I did add some bead seeds for the sound effect ;-) I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set on a vellum banner, which was die cut using the Frame and Flags Die Set. I heat embossed the holly leaves again on blue cardstock and fussy cut it so I could pop it on with the red sequins.
I know what you're thinking, where are the ornaments!?
Well, I loved the wee gingerbread man cookies so much, they became the star of this card ;-)
I borrowed the stuffed kitty from the Newton's Thanksgiving Set and cut slits where his paws are so that he could hold one of the cookies ;-) Poor little cookie in my kitty's paws isn't smiling like the rest of them because he knows his fate.....{LOL}
I used the new holiday Greetings Die Set to make "be Merry, be Happy".
My kitty certainly is happy eating all his cookies, but it is still a Christmas card ;-) This is totally me in December, my in-laws bake so many Christmas cookies every year! My fave is pizzelles, I even help making them and I do not bake! {LOL}
