Trick or Treat!

Saturday, October 31, 2015

Hello, Happy Halloween!
I was busy making little treat bags for my son's classmates this week!
I love Halloween, it's so much fun! :-D
Here are a couple of the bags!

I used the Mini Treat Bag Framelits die to make these cute bags ;-)
I got some cute little notepads and bubbles from Target, these bags are the perfect size!

These Halloween sequins are from Joann's, I bought them years ago!
I used some of those plastic bags that dies come in, simply put the sequins inside then sewed them sealed!

Those sequins bags are so much fun so they really didn't need much more! A little black tag with heat embossed sentiment did the job ;-) This stamp is from Stampin' Up! when they were trying out on selling single stamps, it was part of a sentiment set in the Occasions Catalog a few years ago, and this was the first time I've used!

No notes from me today since most products I used are unavailable for purchase!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Cupcake inspirations Challenge 333

Sunday, October 25, 2015

Hi there, happy Sunday!
It is time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
This week's sponsor is Drawn with Character :-)

Is this fun or what!?
Here is my card ;-)

The sponsor generously provided us a few digi images to work with, thank you!

I picked this cute, sassy kitty (surprise! lol) with her witch hat :-)
I colored her with Smoky Slate, her nose with Tangerine Tango, and her hat with Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight. The collar and the buckle on the hat were colored with the Gold Marker.
I placed her on a sparkly gold star, and added my fun sentiment :-)
"happy" is from happy birthday to you die, "meow" was heat embossed on vellum and fussy cut, and "lloween" was also heat embossed then die cut with piece of tape shape.

I die cut the spider web in vellum. I originally planned to place it behind my kitty, but it didn't look good... I really wanted to use it so tried different spots, and this is where it settled ;-)

I water colored my background with Tangerine Tango, then used my stencil and embossing paste to get a lot stars with texture and dimension! I let them dry, colored them with markers, brushed over them with water, then added sparkles with the glitter pen.

I added a strip of black and white washi tape and a snipet of black lace to give more Halloween feel :-)

My notes...

Stamp: Witch Cat (Drawn with Character), Rotary Alphabet Stamp, Baxter Cat Bundle (Studio Calico)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Vellum, Gold Foil Sheet, Typeset SDSP
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Basic Black, Gold, Wink of Stella Glitter Pen

Happy Hawoollween!

Saturday, October 24, 2015

Hi there!
This week has gone so fast, but I don't feel like I've done that much...yikes!
My twins and baby girl would nap at the same time but the little one decided she wants to go down earlier, and get up right after the twins go down! So I didn't get to play this week until today! Silly girl...

I am playing along with 2 challenges!

The Sparkle and Shine Challenge is closing this challenge tomorrow!
Just in time!

And the Lawnscaping Challenge is having this cute theme!
I couldn't pass it!
Here is my take...

Is this cute enough for you!?
I got the colors from the Sparkle and Shine Challenge photo ;-)

When this cute, woolie guys were released, I just had to have them!
Have you ever seen the show from the UK "Shaun the Sheep"? My favorite show!! I watch it with my kids over and over, and I cannot get enough of that flock of fleece guys!
So instead of the cute ghosts, I dressed this fluffy guy to go trick or treating;-) I lightly colored his wool with Sahara Sand to give a warmer look.

I don't know what I would do if I couldn't water color to make my cards!
I water colored my watercolor paper with Rich Razzleberry, splashing some water at the end to get distressed look. Then I die cut the sentiment.

I finally got to use the Owens ABCs stamp set! So cute!!
Ha "wool" lween...you know, because of my woolie cutie...;-p
They were heat embossed with the Tangerine Tango Emboss Powder on the Basic Black Cardstock, then punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch. I also punched a couple stars with the water colored piece, why not!?

I am not sure what I'm going to do with all these Halloween cards I have made this year... It certainly is a lot of fun making them since I LOVE Halloween!

My notes...

Stamp: Booyah, Baaah Humbug, Owen's ABCs (Lawn Fawn)
Paper: Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, Howlstooth and Scarybone DSP, Designed Vellum (Papertrey Ink)

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 332

Sunday, October 18, 2015

Hi there, cupcake fans!
It is time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
This week's sponsor is The Stamping Boutique.

I love those brain cupcakes, so fun!!! (I'm a zombie fan...LOL)
I think it was so clever to get the colors from this photo instead of the image!
Well, here is my take...

The sponsor generously provided us a few digital images to work with, and I picked this adorable snowman!

I chose Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla, and Smoky Slate.
I die cut a few different Hillside Borders in Very Vanilla, layered them then die cut with the Cross Stitched Square Die. I also die cut another square in watercolor paper and water colored the top with Lost Lagoon, then layered the snow banks on top.
I wanted some snowflakes so I stamped that cute little snowflakes from the Winter Alpaca Stamp Set.

If you saw my post from yesterday, I am obsessing with pleats these days...and here it is. I used the Lost Lagoon Ribbon on this one.
I heat embossed the sentiment with silver on watercolor paper, colored with Lost Lagoon, then fussy cut it.

A piece of the Very Vanilla Cardstock was embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder because I think it looks like falling snow!

My notes...

Stamp: Mini Snowman (The Stamping Boutique), Winter Alpaca (Lawn Fawn), Brushed Christmas (Essentials by Ellen)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper, Neutrals DSP Stack
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, Tangelo Tango
Accessory: Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon
Tool: Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, Die-namics Cross Stitched Square STAX (My Favorite Things), Sewing Machine

AEI{heart}U Challenge

Saturday, October 17, 2015

Hi there!
I was busy with my sick kids this week, but finally got about an hour to play! It certainly is nice to get away from the realty and just create ;-) Of course I love my kids more than stamping, but you know we all need "me time" to keep our sanity!

I decided to play along with the AEI{heart}U Challenge over at Avery Elle.

Challenge 29

Ooh, how fun is this!?
Here is my pretty in pink card...;-)

I wasn't sure how much time I had for myself so it needed to be simple.

I used my favorite pinks from Stampin' Up!, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral.
I was going to die cut the sentiment in Calypso Coral but I thought that would be too sweet. Well, isn't Pear Pizzazz just so lovely against the pink and gold!?
I am currently in love with little pleats, I simply fold (usually vellum) randomly and sew it on. They look fabulous behind or/and underneath sentiments! I think I placed it too high on this one...

Those stripes were made with the Brushed stamp set, I love it!
My coral flowers are from the Oh Happy Day stamp set. I stamped that star burst thing on the flowers with gold ink, I  love Calypso Coral and gold together!

The Wonky Stitches Die has to be my most favorite die from Avery Elle, it's just so much fun! Just add some sequins and this card was done! I wanted to add more layers but the pinks had to stand out, so kept it clean ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Oh Happy Day, Brushed (Avery Elle)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Gold Vellum (Studio Calico)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Encore Gold Ink Pad
Accessory: Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
Tool: Wonky Stitches and Simply Said Hello Dies (Avery Elle), Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 331

Sunday, October 11, 2015

Hi there, Happy Sunday!
Are you ready for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!?
This week's sponsor is Your Next Stamp.
Yup, one of my favorites! Woo hoo:-D

So cute!!
Here is my take ;-)

I was totally inspired by all those pretty fall color leaves :-)
My first house had these huge maples trees and raking the leaves was a serious labor!!

These adorable critters are from the Woodland Cuties set from Your Next Stamp. Aren't they just so cute!? I stamped them with Stazon then water color them. I love to not stay inside the lines, I think that gives a softer look ;-)

This beautiful sentiment is also from Your Next Stamp, I love this die set I use them all the time! I die cut thanks in the Sweater Weather DSP, but it kind of blended in the water colored background so I had to place something behind it. I don't know why but I picked the feather die, I guess it looks like a leaf, doesn't it?

I die cut one of the Stitched Hillside dies, then glued all those pretty fall leaves on it, then popped the whole thing. Now that I am looking at this picture, those trees could have had some leaves on them to have some colors...maybe I will add some later ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Woodland Cuties (Your Next Stamp)
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Watercolor Paper, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink: Soft Sky, More Mustard, Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral
Tool: Scripty Word Die (Your Next Stamp), Stitched Hillside Border Lawn Cut (Lawn Fawn), Feathers, and Seasonal Tree Wise Dies (Paper Smooches), Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now let us head over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the team's work!

Hi there!
Here is my card #3 for the World Card Making Day Challenge over at Winnie and Walter!

WCMDblogbanner2014

This one is for the "Color Challenge with Heather".

Mint Macaron, Pool Party, and So Saffron were my Aqua, Mint, and Yellow:-)

I heat embossed the faceted heart and water colored with my three colors, then fussy cut it.

I made a lot of layers for the heart to sit on, but I didn't know where to add my kraft. I tried several things and that photo negative thing was the winner!

I heat embossed the sentiment with a mixture of gold and iridescent ice emboss powder on vellum, then fussy cut it.
I wanted a white background since I have so many layers, but thought dry embossing wouldn't hurt. Well, I couldn't get happy with any of them then I tried something different, I used my little frame embossing folders, and I like it a lot ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: True (Winnie and Walter)
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Kraft, Watercolor Paper, I Am Me DSP, Gold Foil Sheet, Vellum, Yellow Vellum (Studio Calico)
Ink: Pool Party, Mint Macaron, So Saffron, Versamark
Accessory: Paper Doily (Studio Calico)
Tool: Heat Tool, Gold and Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder, Essentials: Audrey Cutaways (Winnie and Walter), Maggie Holmes Open Book Die (American Craft), Sewing Machine

Hi there!
Here is my card #2 for the World Card Making  Day Challenge over at Winnie & Walter!

WCMDblogbanner2014

I combined 2 themes for this one, "use gold/metallic with Lydia" and "sketch with Gayatri".
And here it is ;-)

Originally, I was only going to play the sketch challenge, but when I picked the stamp set, I wanted gold outline so why not play both together!?

Aren't these roses just lovely!?
I die cut the Whisper White Cardstock with the Essentials Audrey Cutaways to get the romantic scallops. Then I masked the scallops, stamped the roses, masked the roses, and stamped the leaves. Outlines were heat embossed with gold emboss powder.
The banner is from the same stamp set, The Big, The Bold, and Extra. I also heat embossed it with gold on, you guessed it, vellum!

I popped on the banner and some more leaves with the Stampin' Dimensionals, then of course some sequins were added ;-)
I didn't have anyone specific on my mind when I was working on this card, but today is my mother-in-law's birthday, and her name is Rose, so I think this will be perfect for her!

My notes...

Stamp: The Big, The Bold, and Extra (Winnie and Walter)
Paper: Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gold Foil Sheet, Designed Vellum (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumball Green, Versamark
Accessory: 4mm Gold Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh), Peach Sequins (Ellen Hutson)
Tool: Heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, The Big, The Bold, and Extra Cutaways, The Big, The Bold, and Friends Cutaways, Essentials:Audrey Cutaways (Winnie and Walter)

Hello

Tuesday, October 6, 2015

Hi there, my crafty friends!
Today I am playing along with two challenges :-)

One of my favorites, Sparkle and Shine Challenge!
Look at this colorful, fun theme:-D

WCMDblogbanner2014

Winnie and Walter is having this fun challenge. There are several of themes to choose from, and I want to play as many as I can ;-) My first pick was "watercolor", surprised!? LOL

So Here is my card, isn't it fun!?

I inked up the V for CheVron stamp set with many, many colors! I sprayed some water directly on the stamps to get the watercolor look. I then stamped the little splatter stamp with Versamark, and heat embossed it with the Iridescent Ice Emboss Powder.

I love the sentiment dies from Winnie and Walter!
I die cut this one in vellum with white polka dots. I didn't want to cover up my water colored chevrons, but wanted to add some polka dots also.

Since I used so many colors, It was hard picking a color for my base! But Primrose Petal was the winner;-) Choosing a DSP was difficult too! Good thing I hoard all the DSP packs I've ever bought, I had the More Amore SDSP, which has the Primrose Petal pink in them!

My notes...

Stamp: Scenery: V is for CheVron (Winnie and Walter)
Paper: Primerose Petal, Watercolor Paper, More Amore SDSP, Designed Vellum (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, Primrose Petal, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Tango, Daffodil Delight, Hello Honey, Summer Starfruit, Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Coastal Cabana
Accessory: Washi Tape, Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
Tool: In a Word:Hello Cutaways (Winnie and Walter), Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 330

Sunday, October 4, 2015

Hi there!
Happy Sunday, and it is time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
This week's sponsor is Scribbles Designs ;-)

Isn't this color combo so pretty!?
Very autumn, earthy, and yummy:-D
Here is my take...

Tell me, isn't this hedgehog just simply adorable!?
The sponsor provided us a few digital images to choose from, and they're all so cute!

I colored this handsome little guy's spikes with Crumb Cake first, then Baked Brown Sugar to make it spiky. The body was colored with Sahara Sand. Those dainty, cute flowers were colored with Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, and Gumball Green.

I water colored the background with Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar. To match it, I die cut the sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar, and some cute hearts in Sweet Sorbet DSP.

I added some Strawberry Slush flowers and Gumball Green grass, layered the whole scenery on that patterned paper, done!
I think this card turned out cute, thanks to such a cute guy from the sponsor ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Hedgie Flower (Scribbles Designs)
Paper: Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Gumball Green, Strawberry Slush, Watercolor Paper, Sweet Sorbet DSP, Maggie Holmes Craft Market Patterned Paper (Crate Paper)
