Hello, lovelies!
It is already the last day of the Newton's Nook Designs February Release today!
All the new products will be available tomorrow Friday the 16th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop! We're revealing this adorable set, Woof Pack!

Did we save the best for the last as always!? We sure did ;-)
Look at all these different breeds of pups!!!
Here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Woof Pack Set - Naki Rager

I guess a lot of love was in the air when I was working on this card {LOL}
My original design was to stamp the image on a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" acetate sheet and attach that as the cover, but I haven't had much luck with stamping on acetate (always smear it!), I settled with a window ;-) It was die cut out with the big heart from the Darling Hearts Die Set (if you don't own one, you really need to get on! I use it all the time!).

I heat embossed this pack of pups with Tan embossing powder on watercolor paper and watercolored them. Again, I couldn't help myself but to favor one...the poodle! Funny, because poodles aren't my favorite breed (I absolutely adore Shiba and Husky 💗) but Jen's poodle totally stole my heart 💗 I even colored her pink {EEEK!}

These guys took me even longer to color than the Company of Cats Set! I realized most dogs are brown, but I didn't want the same exact shade so I mixed colors. When I was done with all the pups, I colored the background light blue because blue really compliments brown!

I LOVE this sentiment!
It is absolutely true, and just so cute 💗

My second card with the Woof Pack Set (I am so loving this name!) is very different from my usual style! Where are colors!? {LOL} The look I tried to accomplish here is a vintage, sepia photo from the old west! I know, my poodle still had to be pink! I couldn't help it!!!

Believe it or not, this sentiment was my inspiration for this design ;-)
"Ruff" life made me think of the old west...I honestly don't know why...{LOL}
The sentiment was heat embossed with dark brown embossing powder on this already die-cut tag with the Tags Times Two Die Set, but I trimmed about 1/8" on each side and cut the corners so I'd have this skinny tag.

My pups were stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink (perfect, right!?) and colored in with colored pencils. It was meant to be "quick coloring" but you and I both know that there is no such thing as "quick coloring" with me {LOL} I'm really loving the Basset hound on this one 💛 When I was finally done, I tore the cardstock around the image, distressed the patterned paper a little bit and mounted them on the base, then added burlap twine and the tag. I picked up the dusty blue and orange from the patterned paper and added enamel dots in the same colors. It still needed wee more colors and this washi tape was just perfect ;-)
