Freshly Made Sketches 198

Hello lovelies!
I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches today!

I know, it's been awhile since I last played it, but look at this sketch! I had to play!

I wanted to make a thank you card for my son's special ed teacher who has been helping him during the summer camp. And I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use, the Storybook Friends!

I absolutely ADORE these fuzzy critters, and the matching DSP is also very cute! I was saving them for when my kids start school...and wow, my oldest is starting kindergarten in September!
I stamped this cute fox in More Mustard then my usual trick, traced the lines with the marker then a small paint brush. I drew a little zig-zag line by his feet then used the same trick for some grass. I also water colored on a separate piece of watercolor paper then die cut the letters.

I made a huge pencil with cardstock. I used the Pennant Punch to make the sharp parts.

I had to make a few adjustments before I was satisfied, but I think it turned out great ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Storybook Friends, Gorgeous Grunge, Brushed (Avery Elle)
Paper: Pool Party, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Watercolor Paper, Story Time DSP, Patterned paper (Lawn Fawn)
Ink: Gumball Green, More Mustard, Pool Party, Smoky Slate
Tool: Die-namics Emmitt Alphabet and Notebook Edge (My Favorite Things)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
