It is time for the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 22nd in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 4 and we're showcasing this adorable new set Newton's Flower Garden.

Oh my goodness!
Can this be any cuter!!?
Here's what I came up with...;-)

So I thought one layer card might be fun with this adorable image.

Can I tell you how happy I am with how this kitty turned out :-)
First I stamped the image then masked the kitty and the flowers only, then blended some blue ink, and green grass using the Hills and Grass Stencil.

I made 3 little butterflies and placed the around the sentiment.
I decided to add some sparkle with the glitter pen after popping them with foam tape and oops...the colors ran a bit and now they look a little muddy 😣

The 2 butterflies that the kitty is playing with are a part of the image, but I wanted them popped so I stamped the image on a scrap, colored, die cut it with the coordinating die then fussy cut it.

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
It is time for the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 22nd in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 3 and we're showcasing this petty set, Hummingbird Stamp and Die Sets.

Just like yesterday's butterflies, hummingbirds are so delicate and beautiful, and Jen totally captured that!
Okay, here is what I came up with...;-)

Isn't this hummingbird even prettier colored in!!?
She was a real pleasure to color :-)

I used to get so many hummingbirds at my old house, I don't know why I don't see them here :-( I need to plan their favorite flowers!!!
I colored my little bird bright colors.

By using the masking technique, I stamped multiple flower images for my little bird. The whole background was colored with very light blue and the sentiment was heat embossed with white EP. The hummingbird was die cut using the coordinating die, and I die cut another one to give the bird a little dimension.

Newton's Nook Designs May Release Day 2

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
It is time for the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 22nd in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 2 and we're showcasing the Monarchs Stamp and Die Sets along with the Butterflies Stancil Set.

Look at these beautiful images!

And this stencil set is just icing on the cake, isn't it!!?
Here is what I came up with...;-)

I made this pretty simple card with these dainty beauties.

My little butterflies were heat embossed with Sparkly Black EP on watercolor paper and die cut using the coordinating dies. I know that monarchs are rusty orange but I am craving happy rainbow colors so I said, why not!!? Of course I added some shimmer using the clear glitter pen as well.

I used the Petite Flowers Stencil for my background.
I heat embossed the little flowers with this glittery pink EP then added some yellowish-green. The sentiments were heat embossed with black EP on this skinny strips of vellum.

Newton's Nook Designs May Release Day 1

Monday, May 18, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
It is time for the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 22nd in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
We have so many cool sets to reveal today so let's get to it!

This pretty set is called Floral Roundabout.
A new addition to the Card Front Series in the circle!

This one is called Birthday Roundabout.
Isn't this really fun with all these party images!!?

Just like the Full/Square Card Fronts, Jen made the coordinating die set!

And this fun and versatile Banner Trio Die Set for the sentiments!
Okay, here is what I came up with...;-)

First up is this scallop circle card using the new Floral Roundabout Stamp Set and both of the new die sets.

I heat embossed the image on watercolor paper with Rose Gold EP then die cut it with the scallop circle die from the new Circle Frames Die Set. I colored the flowers with different shades of pinks and reds because they are the recipient's favorite colors. I colored the background with very light blue to make the pinks and reds pop. The sentiment was heat embossed with red EP on vellum and die cut using one of the banner dies. The base card was also die cut using the scallop circle die ;-)

I do apologize for this bad picture because of my bad photography skills...
But I promise you, this card looks pretty cute in person!!!

So I heat embossed the image on watercolor paper with White EP and brushed over the whole panel with the soft rainbow colors. I don't know about you but I really need happy rainbow colors in my life these days!!! I added some sparkles to each image with a clear glitter pen, and some colors with the shimmery watercolor. And for this one, instead of making another circle card, I bent the sentiments and framed the image with them, and filled the corners with some stitches and iridescent star confetti.
