Pals January Blog Hop

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Thank you for joining us for the first Pals Blog Hop of 2013! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to introduce you to new Stampin’ Up! products that are available in the Spring Catalog. We hope you find inspiration and ideas for using the new stamps, papers and accessories.

You should have just left stop number 2 on the Pals Hop - Sherrie Gross at Stampin Sunshine. If so, you are in the right spot. If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

If you haven't seen the new Spring catalog, I must warn you... It is FABULOUS! You will want every single item in it! This adorable whale is from the Oh, Whale set, my absolute favorite! The embossed clouds are from the new Cloudy days Embossing Folder.

How could you not love this adorable little thing!? Not only the stamp set is cute, but they have the coordinating clearlits die! I gave my girl whale a little flower:-) And she is so happy, she is blowing little hearts out!

This is one of the sentiments in the set, too cute! The anchor is one of the shapes from the clearlits die. I used the Linen Thread to add some nautical flavor.

The waves were made with the Large Scallop Edgelits. I ran a strip of the Basic gray card stock twice through the Big Shot Machine, then adhered the bottom and the middle pieces with a little space in between them.

My Notes...

Stamp set: Oh, Whale
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Midnight Muse, Primerose Petals, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Midnight Muse
Accessory: Linen Thread, Pearl Basic Jewels
Tool: Happy Whale Clearlits die, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Owl Builder Punch, Large Scallop Edgelits Die, Cloudy Days Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today I am sharing some Christmas tags with you:-) I made these for my mother-in-law to go with her homemade Christmas cookies that she gives away!

I just got the Evergreen stamp set, I hadn't realized that one of the tree images is my favorite Christmas song, Silent Night, until recently! Ha ha:-D

I thought it might be fun to use one of the Peekaboo Frames Bigz L Dies for a tag. You get to open it like a little present;-) I even added those tiny tags like a real present:-)

Glad you could join us for some fun fall crafting with the Stampin' Pretty Pals! You've probably hopped over from Kim Czenszak at Live Love Stamp, I'm stop number 15 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for Stampin' Up! fall projects! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

Do you love the Perfectly Preserved set from the Holiday Catalog as much as I do? The mason jar is so much fun to fill up with all sorts of goodies! And today, my jar is filled with these tiny, yummy Italian candies:-) I used the Naturals Ivory Card Stock as a base card, the natural look of  them screams fall to me:-) I kept this card simple but full of rich, fall colors.

A zip-lock bag is attached with a single glue dot so it can be removed and re-use the card:-)

This is what it looks like without the bag inside.

I stamped the jar after die cutting the front, the stamp fits right in the shape, it was so easy to line them up:-)

This card can be for ANY occasions, just change the design on the front:-) You could make a whole bunch of them to hand out Halloween treats to your co-workers or your kids' classmates, or make it Christmas and put a cute little gift in the bag:-) The possibilities are endless!

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Perfectly Preserved
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze, Lucky Limeade, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze
Tool: Cannery and Bitty Banners Framelits Dies, Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies, Small Oval, Small Heart, and Owl Builder Punches, Glue Dots, Zip-lock Bag
Secret Ingredient: Heavenly yummy Italian candies...mmm:-)
