Happy Monday, my friends!
Today the Newton's Nook Designs Design Team is joining the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Hop hosted by fabulous Tracey McNeely! She organizes this fun hop every year and so many fabulous companies sponsor this and offer fabulous prizes, so head over to Tracey's blog In My Creative Opinion and check out the details ;-)

Alright, here is what I created...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Tags - Naki Rager

I made 5 of these CAS tags ;-)
I've been attracted to the white-on-white-with-a-pop-of-red-look lately, I think it is so fun!
Ready to take a closer look at them!?

Newton's Nook Designs Forest Builder & Holiday Greetings Die Sets - Naki Rager

All my tags today were die cut using the Fancy Edges Tags Die Set, it measures about 2-3/8" x 3-3/4".
This one was decorated with 3 short pine trees, which was die cut using the Forest Scene Builder Die Set, Merry sentiment die cut from poppy cardstock using the Holiday Greetings Die Set, and snowfalls using the Petite Snow Stencil and embossing paste.

Newton's Nook Designs Pines & Holly Die Set - Naki Rager

My second tag is all about holly jolly!
The background was created using the Holiday Foliage Stencil and embossing paste, I just love the white paste on white cardstock! The holly leaves were die cut from white cardstock to continue the white-on-white theme, then the berries were die cut from poppy cardstock, both using the Pines & Holly Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Snow Globe Shaker & Splendid Stags Die Sets - Naki Rager

Now onto my third tag, you're getting the pattern here, aren't you!?
First using the Tree Rings Stencil and embossing paste for the white-on-white background, then the stag was die cut from white cardstock using the Splendid Stags Die Set, the Joy sentiment was die cut from white and poppy cardstock using the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set. All the pieces were die cut twice to layer to give some dimension ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Ornament Shaker Die Set - Naki Rager

This pair of tags were basically 2 for 1 ;-)
I picked from dark red to peachy pink to create the ombre effect. Each color was trimmed to about 3/4" wide and die cut "HO HO HO" using the Ornament Die Set. I separated the words out of the strips and simply adhered them onto one of the tags. I also added a couple of birds and a squirrel from the Forest Scene Builder Die Set. On the other tag, I mounted the strips and little circles from the letter Os. Aren't they super easy but super fun!?

Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Tags - Naki Rager

If you are planning on making Christmas tags to go with every present to your loved ones, simple designs like these would be perfect! The pop of red on all white designs are pretty dramatic, don't you think!? And when you use negative die cut pieces, you create less waste AND you instantly have 2 tags made!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed my CAS tags today!
Don't forget to visit Tracey's blog In My Creative Opinion for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes!

Newton's Nook Designs

Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Hello, Newton lovers!
Today I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog!
My kids' school is starting next week and I'm so sad to say bye to summer! but that also means my favorite holiday is getting closer...Halloween! So that's today's theme here ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

I LOVE Halloween! 🎃
I make little treats for my kids' classmates and teachers, so cute little tags to go with them are a must for me! But blogging about one little tag is kind of sad {LOL} so I thought, hey! Let's use a stencil on a treat bag and show a cute packaging! For today's Halloween treat, I used the new Flying Bats Stencil to dress it up a bit ;-) Plus, this tag has a couple surprises, too ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

First I picked this fun striped paper for today's tag, and I borrowed this tag die with a peek-a-boo window. Then I die cut the "Trick or Treat" from the new Halloween Trio Die Set, placed it on the window and applied lots of sparkles using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. The cute little witch kitty is from the Newton's Boo-Tiful Night Set, he's actually riding on a broom but I fussy cut it to just have his head and paws.

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

Here is surprise #1, you lift the window and you see these teeny bats saying BOO! but one of them is apparently mistaken its identity and thinks its an owl...LOL These bats are also from the Halloween Trio Die Set. The little speech bubbles from the new Boo Hoo Mini Set were heat embossed on vellum and fussy cut.

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

Here is surprise #2!
You flip the tag and there are this adorable Jack-O-Lantern and Newton's little bum hanging!
The Jack-O-Lantern was die cut from this fun chevron paper using the Pick A Pumpkin Die Set. I die cut his face out of it, and from black cardstock and pieced them in.

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

To create Newton's bum, I stamped the kitty on a broom image on watercolor paper and die cut using the new Newton's Boo-Tiful Night Die Set. I then fussy cut it right along the outlines so the back of his head would line up with the front of his face, and because there are no outlines on the back, I needed to see the exact shape. I flipped the kitty over and roughly colored to see what is where, then I started to add more details and when that looked all good, I drew the outlines with Sakura Micron 005 pen to give a more defined look.

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Boo-tiful Night Set - Naki Rager

For the finishing touch, I added a few gold star confetti ;-)
Hope you liked my little tag with lots of tiny details today because I had so much fun making it! ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a lovely day! ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs

Wednesday, March 28, 2018

Hi, there!
I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog with a springy project today!
Sooo, is it spring!? I'm afraid to say it, winter might hear me and come back! {LOL}

Alright, here it goes ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Naughty Newton Set - Naki Rager

I like to give potted plants as gifts, especially for Easter 🐣🐇
Of course, I have to have some sort of tag to go with it ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Naughty Newton Set - Naki Rager

This adorable kitty is from the Naughty Newton Set ;-)
He is being naughty and knocking down one of the planters, but I think he was actually trying to plant pretty flowers but you know, he has paws not hands, so it's difficult...{LOL} I stamped this cutie with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and did no-line coloring, then die cut with the coordinating die set.

Newton's Nook Designs Naughty Newton Set - Naki Rager

The Naughty Newton Set comes with cute sentiments, but since this Newton is actually being nice, they weren't going to work! So I borrowed this beautiful sentiment from the Happy Little Thoughts Set 💗 Gardening isn't my favorite activity BUT it means SPRING and I DO love pretty flowers 🌷🌼🌻 so I am looking forward to it! This sentiment is just perfect for people like me ;-)

This is my little oasis in my craft room 💚
As you can see, my spider plant has so many babies and I'm very proud of them because I usually can't keep plants alive! (I have killed cacti 🌵 and they don't require a lot of care! LOL). I'm going to give them to my kids' teachers, better than candies, don't you think!? ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Have a happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐣🐇

Winnie & Walter 4th Birthday Bash Challenge

Wednesday, February 21, 2018

Hi, there lovelies!
I am back with another project I made to enter the Anything But a Card Challenge with Kate over at the Winnie & Walter Blog! They're celebrating their 4th birthday and have all these fun challenges, you should check them out!

I made a tag with the Essentials: Carly Cutaway and the Wish Big with Evelin T Designs Stamp Set.

This big cupcake is so yummy and pretty, isn't it!?
I stamped with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink on watercolor paper and colored only the frosting part then fussy cut it. I then stamped the cupcake again on kraft cardstock with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added some shadows on the cupcake liner with colored pencils then fussy cut it. The Kraft cupcake liner was placed over the watercolor piece, and I sprinkled several Mini Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

This beautiful sentiment was heat embossed with gold embossing powder on vellum, which was die cut with the Essentials: Carly Cutaway. The sentiment is actually straight, I just placed it on my block bent to get this curved look ;-) That teeny tiny heart was die cut with the Essentials: Audrey Cutaways and a little sparkle was added with the WInk of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

Because I used Kraft cardstock for my liner, I wanted to keep that organic feel throughout my tag, so I chose this cream cardstock for the tag. It looked pretty blah, so I added this maccha green {YUM!} and I think it looks absolutely yummy with the pink and cream! I die cut these delicate leaves from the In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways and adhered them alongside the circle line. I also tucked this skinny heart in the same green behind the gold thread along with this adorable teeny tag from the Essentials: Audrey Cutaways. The little YAY sentiment is from the Wish Big with Evelin T Designs Stamp Set, which was heat embossed with rose gold embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
I'm going to make a couple more projects so stay tuned!

Newton's Nook Desighs

Monday, December 18, 2017

Hello, lovelies!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today to share a wrapping idea with some of the NND products ;-) Wow, can you believe that Christmas is next week!?
Here it goes...;-)

My original plan for today's project was just to make a couple of quick tags to go with the books for my twins' book exchange at pre-school this week, but I thought these adorable kitty Santa images would make a couple of 4-5 year olds extra happy ;-)

For preschoolers, I figured the traditional red and green were perfect, and polka dots are always fun, too! I am a bit obsessed with the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set, so many possibilities with different edges with different colors and patterns, oh how fun 💕

Red and green were reversed on this one but other than that, it is exactly the same.
Those beautiful sparkly snowflakes were die cut with the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set, what kid wouldn't like them!?

I wanted to stamp a bunch of small images all over the kraft paper, but random stamping is so hard for me! So instead, I stamped these super adorable images from the Santa Paws Newton Set and colored them colored pencils. This paper really wasn't for coloring so nothing fancy, but I think the red suits with white accents really pop on kraft, don't you think!?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy holidays to everyone 💙💚💛

Newton's Nook Designs

Hello, lovelies!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog with a little Thanksgiving project today ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Raccoon Rascals Set - Naki Rager

Now that Halloween is over, it's all about Thanksgiving!
I give my mother-in-law and her sister a little something as thanks every year (and because they cook the meal and I don't! LOL), I usually make little tags to go with ;-)
I used 3 NND stamp sets, and the beautiful sentiment that was heat embossed with copper embossing powder is from the Shades of Autumn set.

Newton's Nook Designs Raccoon Rascals Set - Naki Rager

These mischievous raccoons from the Raccoon Rascals set are just perfect for my big family! (I have 4 kids.) I stamped this trio of cuties with Memento Black Ink and colored with my new toy, Chameleon Markers! I colored them as they're wearing masks, and I also gave them little feathers that I borrowed from the Adventure Awaits set in the matching colors. They're totally in a Thanksgiving spirit already!

Newton's Nook Designs Raccoon Rascals Set - Naki Rager

This sentiment is also from the Raccoon Rascals set. It was heat embossed with copper embossing powder on yellow vellum, and die cut with the Tags Times Two die. It was added to the hemp twine, which is tying the green, orange, and yellow ribbons, they match the raccoons' masks and feathers ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Have a lovely day ;-)

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Hello, lovelies!
I am so very excited to be joining this wonderful blog hop { 25 Days of Christmas Tags } by Tracey McNeely (click HERE to check out her fabulous blog!) as a Newton's Nook Designs Design Team member today! Jen is sponsoring this fun event along with many other companies, and they all have fabulous prizes! So make sure you head over to Tracey's blog and read the rules to participate!

Here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Santa Paws Newton Set - Naki Rager

I used a few NND products to create these small but fun tags ;-)
I die cut the bigger tags with the Tags Times Two Die Set from the plastic bag that stamp/die sets come in (I can't throw them out! LOL), sewed it together except the top, poured in this mixture of gold, silver, and clear confetti, copper star sequins, and a few snowflakes, which were die cut with the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set from shimmery white cardstock.

Newton's Nook Designs Snow Globe Scenes Set - Naki Rager

I also die cut the round tag with the Tags Times Two Die Set from kraft cardstock.
On this one, I stamped this cute little reindeer from the Snow Globe Scenes set with brown ink, quickly colored with colored pencils, and added a little bit of metallic copper Nuvo crystal Drop on his nose ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Snow Globe Scenes Set - Naki Rager

On second one, I stamped this adorable snowman also from the Snow Globe Scenes set, colored with colored pencils, and added light blue Nuvo crystal drop on his buttons ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Santa Paws Newton Set - Naki Rager

On third one, I stamped this adorable mouse from the Santa Paws Newton set, colored with colored pencils, and glossy white Nuvo crystal drop on his pom pom ;-) I added a copper star sequin on each tag, and this little cutie is making a wish upon it. Maybe it is the same star as the reindeer and snowman see...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Santa Paws Newton Set - Naki Rager

A snippet of linen twine along with a few snippets of copper thread were fed through the holes to keep both tags together on each set. I also die cut the sentiment from the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set from copper foil sheet and stapled them on my clear tags ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it, I certainly did!

Thank you Tracey for having me, and thank you Jen for sponsoring this fabulous event!

Today we are sharing this fabulous set "Joyful Tags".

Aren't these just awesome!
Previously released the Tags Times Two Die Set coordinates these little cuties so cutting them is super easy!

I had so much fun with this set, I made a few things ;-)
Here they go!

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

Here is my take one!
I love white on kraft, and that's exactly what I did here!
I added the tag like it is on a present, can you see that!?

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

Well, wouldn't you like a receive a pretty present with a kitty sitting on it!?
This orange kitty wandered over here from the Newton's Antics set, so cute!
I can't seem to stay away from the Pines & Holly Die set...*Hee Hee*

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

My second project is this cute little tag!
I know, again with the white on kraft...;-p It's beautiful though, right!?
I added a Santa hat and a couple candy canes from the Ornamental Newton set for a pop of red. I added a crochet trim and linen twine for a rustic look.

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

Three of the images from the new Joyful Tags set were used on my third project.

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

I heat embossed the small images with copper on vellum, die cut, and popped up like ornaments. I die cut another round tag from champagne glimmer paper, not quite copper but pretty close. I also used the copper thread and copper sequins.

Newton's Nook Designs Joyful Tags Set - Naki Rager

This gorgeous sentiment is one of the tags, I inked up only the inside image with versamark marker and heat embossed right on the base panel with copper. Clear sequins were added to repeat the vellum from the right side of the card.

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Newton's Nook Designs

Thursday, November 3, 2016

Hello lovelies!
Today the owner and designer of Newton's Nook Designs, sweet Jennifer Jackson is sponsoring Tracey MacNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and the NND DT members are joining in the fun! Woo hoo!
There are a ton of prizes, too!
All you have to do is visit Tracey' blog and leave a sweet comment!

Okay, here is my take...;-)

I went with a very traditional look ;-)
I immediately grabbed the Splendid Stag Purr-fect Die set.

This fabulous stag was die cut from gold foil sheet and cork.
He was mounted on the wreath that was made with the new Pines & Holly Purr-fect Die set, which was layered on a die cut doily and kraft rosette.
I added a little bit of gold fringe underneath.

I kept the back simple since you'd need to write to/from.
I actually sewed the fringe on the front so the gold glitter paper is hiding the stitch.

{my notes}

Paper: Whisper White, Gumball Green, Kraft, Red and Gold Foil Sheets, Gold Glimmer Paper, Christmas DSP (SU!), Cork (My Favorite Things)
Accessory: Hemp Twine (SU!)
Tool: Splendid Stag and Pines & Holly Purr-fect Dies (Newton's Nook Designs), Scoring board, Tag Punch (SU!), Lulu Fringe Cutaway (Winnie & Walter), Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
