Halloween Hand Soap Gift Tag

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

This is what I had as a door prize for my workshop. I made a different one for the August Pals Blog Hop, and just use the same idea but with a different design.

This little googlie eyed spider is dangling on his thread, I simply glued the thread on the back of the Basic Black Card Stock that was embossed with the Spider Web Folder.

I thought the little spider could use a friend so I invited a ghost to the party, but you know, he IS a ghost so he is only peeking in:-) He seems friendly to me, I don't think he's trying to Boo!

My Recipe for This Gift Tag

Stamp set: Spooky Bingo Bits
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Accessory: Rich Razzleberry 5/8" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Googlie Eyes, Thread
Tool: Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Glue Dots
Secret Ingredient: Spooky friends:-D

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

A Simple Fall Card

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Here is another card from my workshop this past weekend. I love the new Woodgrain folder and really wanted to use it, and this is what I came up with:-)

I also love the One in a Million set and this pair I used is my favorite of all:-) I didn't really want to pick a specific occasion and this was perfect!

I just got these new Round Designer Ribbon Slides and had to use them as well! They give such a sophisticated look!

The Early Espresso is so deep and Rich, such a gorgeous color! And it looks just fabulous with the Crumb Cake! The Baja Breeze adds a great contrast in this color combo:-)

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: One in a Million, Papillon Potpourri
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessory: Early Espresso 5/8" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Baja Breeze 1/2" Binding Seam Ribbon, Round Designer Ribbon Slides

I love how Stampin' Up! has everything color coordinated for you, don't you!?

Tomorrow, I am showing what I made as a door prize!

Season's Greeting

Monday, September 24, 2012

Here is a very simple but pretty holiday card that I made for my workshop I had this past weekend. Everyone LOVED it:-) One thing I changed between taking this photo and the workshop is, I put the largest rhinestone on the large snow flake, and the medium one on the medium flake because those tiny stones looked a little out of balance. I didn't even think to re-take photos, then the card got ink all over from the workshop so I couldn't any more!

I emboss the inside with the Delicate Designs folder, I thought it kind of looked like snow flakes too:-)

I like my non-traditional Christmas colors, my fake tree is white with blue and silver ornaments too:-) My husband thinks it's cold, I think it's pretty like snow:-)

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Curly Cute
Paper: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: Pool Party
Accessory: Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Tool: Northern Flurry, Perfect Polka Dots, and Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies
Secret Ingredient: Pretty snow:-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Don't for get to come back tomorrow for a simple fall card I made for the workshop!

Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge #6

Friday, September 21, 2012

It's Friday and that means time for a new Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge!
Yes, argyle again... This is the design I had in my head when I picked last week's challenge topic

                             A color combo of
                                        Pacific Point                           A Birthday Card
                                 Basic Black
                               Whisper White

My color combo was inspired by these bracelets that my in-laws brought home from New York City 2 weeks ago. I love them so much I have been wearing them ever since they gave me:-)

Diamonds were created with the Petite Pennant Builder Punch. After embossing them with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder, I started placing them from the center. I had all the pieces laying on the card so I had some kind of guideline to follow as I was adhering them. I lightly sponged the Whisper White Stampin' Craft Ink on my argyle so all the bright colors blend in nicer on the Whisper White Card Stock.

The front of the card got so heavy with all those layers I had to add some weight on the inside too. and yes, more argyle! I promise I won't use it for awhile!

Since this card is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2", I needed a custom envelope, which I whipped up super fast with the trusty Simply Scored Scoring Tool:-) I repeated the Pacific Point and the Polka Dots.

I wonder what kind of beautiful birthday card my friend Nina created!

My Recipe for This Project

Stamp set: Patterned Party, Loved Ones
Paper: Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pacific Point Designer Series Paper (Retired)
Ink: Pacific Point, Basic Black
Tool: Petite Pennant Builder Punch, Perfect Polka Dots and Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
Secret Ingredient: Patience!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

This card was picked as one of the CAS Favorites on Splitcoaststampers!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge!

Thursday, September 20, 2012

It is time for another Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge!

PPA143 September 20

Another fabulous sketch by our fabulous pal, Margaret Moody
I thought this sketch was very unique, and unique is what I like:-)

Pearls, pearls, and more pearls!
I left a lot of white space because the Midnight Muse and Whisper White together is very crisp and clean, I did not want to add too much to ruin that.

These little dahlias are so adorable:-) I layered with one of the Boho Blossoms to balance the size. The Gumball Green is one of my favorite colors, and it looks so fresh with the Midnight Muse.

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: My Friend
Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green
Ink: Midnight Muse, Pool Party
Accessory: Pearl Basic Jewels, In-Color Dahlias, Gumball Green 5/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon
Tool: Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies, Boho Blossoms Punch, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
Secret Ingredient: The less is the better!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
 Hope you enjoyed it!

A Funny Card

Monday, September 17, 2012

I made this card for my father-in-law this past weekend. I was going to give one from my stash but I HAD TO make this for him! It was a great way to use up some of  the scrap papers too:-)

The story behind this card is, my father-in-law LOVES to golf, and when he sees garage sales, he checks for golf balls even though he already has hundreds, if not a thousand of them! We were getting together for his cake on this past Saturday, and he had just bought dozens more the day before, and I said to him, how many balls can a man have!? LOL and this card was created!  The golf balls were embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder, I saw this idea somewhere, would have given that person credit but cannot find her now...

Did anyone notice that this card qualifies for this week's Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge!? I really wasn't trying, but argyle is so golf to me, and the jars were just perfect for the balls!

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Perfectly Preserved, Sweet Cake, Non-SU Alphabets
Paper: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Primerose Petals, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink, Early Espresso, Pool Party
Accessory: Island Indigo Baker's Twine
Tool: Cannery, Bitty Banners, and Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies, Argyle and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, 1/2" circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Secret Ingredient: Have a ball;-D

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge!

Friday, September 14, 2012

Welcome to another Double Dare Challenge #5!

             Argyle                                    Perfectly Preserved

Once again, this challenge was, well, challenging!
When I picked argyle, I actually had something in mind, but this combo is "preppy country" and my original design would not work...so this is what I came up with.

I went for a preppy look, and the only thing that would work from the Perfectly Preserved set was the little stem & leaves to make those little flowers. The argyle stamp is from the Patterned Party.

I like to make unique cards and I think I failed to deliver that with this one:-( It really was difficult for me and I almost gave up! (really, I was going to write, I was unable to come up with a design,  please come back next week.....lol) But I know it was easy breezy for my friend Nina to make something beautiful!

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Perfectly Preserved, Patterned Party
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Comfort Cafe DSP
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green
Accessory: Summer Starfruit 5/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Brights Designer Buttons
Tool: Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Secret Ingredient: Really challenge yourself!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Pals September Fall Flair Blog Hop

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

Glad you could join us for some fun fall crafting with the Stampin' Pretty Pals! You've probably hopped over from Kim Czenszak at Live Love Stamp, I'm stop number 15 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for Stampin' Up! fall projects! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

Do you love the Perfectly Preserved set from the Holiday Catalog as much as I do? The mason jar is so much fun to fill up with all sorts of goodies! And today, my jar is filled with these tiny, yummy Italian candies:-) I used the Naturals Ivory Card Stock as a base card, the natural look of  them screams fall to me:-) I kept this card simple but full of rich, fall colors.

A zip-lock bag is attached with a single glue dot so it can be removed and re-use the card:-)

This is what it looks like without the bag inside.

I stamped the jar after die cutting the front, the stamp fits right in the shape, it was so easy to line them up:-)

This card can be for ANY occasions, just change the design on the front:-) You could make a whole bunch of them to hand out Halloween treats to your co-workers or your kids' classmates, or make it Christmas and put a cute little gift in the bag:-) The possibilities are endless!

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Perfectly Preserved
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze, Lucky Limeade, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze
Tool: Cannery and Bitty Banners Framelits Dies, Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies, Small Oval, Small Heart, and Owl Builder Punches, Glue Dots, Zip-lock Bag
Secret Ingredient: Heavenly yummy Italian candies...mmm:-)

Now hop along for more inspiring ideas from Kerry Willard Bray at Stamp goodness, stop number 16 on the Pals Fall Flair Blog Hop! Thanks for "hopping" by!

Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge #4

Friday, September 7, 2012

Welcome to another Naki & Nina's Double Dare Challenge!

One Stamp                                       Chevron Stripes

Oh boy, was this combo difficult for me or what!?
It was so hard I started working on my PPA card AND next week's blog hop card instead! ha ha:-D I bet my friend Nina made something gorgeous as usual:-)

I actually had another card started but then this design came to my head out of no where and I liked this better. I think this card finally came to me because I stared so much at this one and only chevron stripe I have from the Howlstooth and scaringbone DSP, and realized it reminded me of African textile. What do you think of when you hear Africa? Beautiful wild animals, right? A beautiful giraffe wishing on a star:-)

Very very simple, but when you have such a fun and bright focal point, do you really need anything else?

My Recipe for This Card

Stamp set: Zoo Review
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Howlstooth and Scraingbone DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Tool: Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies, Merry Mini Punch Pack
Secret Ingredient: Go zigzag!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Don't forget to play along and upload your beautiful creation too!!
