Happy Halloween 🎃
It is my absolute favorite holiday today and I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog with a Halloween card!

Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Trio Die Set - Naki Rager

Trick or Treat!
Who is going to go trick or treating with your little ones tonight!?
I made this cute little circle card with fun Halloween colors ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Trio Die Set - Naki Rager

This fun sentiment and the little bats were die cut using the Halloween Trio Die Set.
The sentiment was die cut from white cardstock and colored with colored pencils, then coated with the glitter pen for some serious sparkles. I mounted it slightly off-centered on another sentiment die cut from black cardstock to give a little dimension.

Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Trio Die Set - Naki Rager

I used the Flying Bats Stencil to sponge with light purple on the purple cardstock. I wanted a fun but subtle background and tone-on-tone does that trick ;-) Then these fabulous little bats were adhered and coated with the glitter pen to match the sentiment ;-)

That's it!
I hope you liked my card today ;-)
CAS designs actually take me a lot longer to design, but this one came together pretty quickly thanks to all the fun NND products!

These pups are so stinkin' cute!!!

Hee Hee 😆
Here is our favorite mini stamp set and this one is called Mistle Toad 🐸
I just love these cute little images with punny sentiments!

Another mini set called Fleece Navidad, hee hee 😝
This little guy is so cute!

Alright, I have a lot of cards to show you today so let's go!

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

This sleepyhead here is totally me on Christmas day! [LOL] except he is absolutely adorable doing it!

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

I gave my little sleepyhead a nice Christmas tree using the new Evergreens Stencil and a couple shades of green Distress Oxide inks. An enamel star and a few enamel dots were popped on as ornaments ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

This sleepy cutie was stamped with light gray ink on watercolor paper, watercolored, and die cut using the coordinating die. The sentiment was heat embossed with copper EP to match the copper ink splatters on the background. I think this card turned out to be so cute and very peaceful ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

I had to make another card with this adorable card!
I die cut the pine trees from white linen cardstock using the Forest Scene Builder and placed them on my base card, then added some snow using the new Petite Snow Stencil and white embossing paste.

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

This little guy got himself a giant candy cane to hang from!
I colored the candy cane and his hat with lime green and white pearl watercolor ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Slothy Christmas Set - Naki Rager

This sentiment was heat embossed with lime green EP on vellum then it was die cut using the Frames and Flags, which was set on top of the shaker window. The Frame of the shaker window was created using the Framework Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Happy Howl-idays Set - Naki Rager

The design of this card is pretty simple, but this super adorable retriever couple image is actually a pretty good size so instead of making a scene, framing them seemed like a better idea ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Happy Howl-idays Set - Naki Rager

The scalloped frame and 2 little tickets were die cut using the Framework Die Set.
"Ho Ho Ho" confetti are from the new Ornament Shaker Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Mistle Toad Set - Naki Rager

Here we have is a card with the new Mistle Toad set ;-) How cute is he!?

Newton's Nook Designs Mistle Toad Set - Naki Rager

When you hear/see mistletoes, you think of a kiss, don't you? Plus the frog prince story so custom making the KISS ME sentiment seemed most appropriate for this fun card ;-) I was die cut using the Essential Alphabet Die Set, and the little banner was die cut using the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Fleece Navidad Set - Naki Rager

Our last stamp set to reveal is this little sheep ;-)
These fluffy little guys provide us with warm wool so we can have soft cozy sweaters and scarves for cold winter, so I thought using the sweater inspired patterned papers was perfect ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Fleece Navidad Set - Naki Rager

Those little trees and the star are from the new Ornament Shaker Die Set, such an awesome die set!
The fun patterns make my black and white sheep really pop ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 3

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Hello, Newton lovers!
We continue on with the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release and today is day 3, and we have really awesome Christmas sets to reveal!

This adorable new stamp set is called Holiday Stockings, how cute are they!?
The Stylish Stockings Die Set was released last year and it cuts the new set too!

Here we have are the new ornamental Wishes Stamp Set and the Ornament Shaker Die Set! They're just like the Uplifting Wishes Stamp Set and the Balloon Shaker Die Set, you can stamp the sentiments inside the shaker but you can totally use them separately, too!

Alright, here is what I came up with...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

First up is this rustic card with the Holiday Stockings Set ;-)
The postage frame was die cut using the Framework Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

All the images from the set are so stinkin' cute and I actually watercolored them all and tried several designs but none of them really made me happy, then I realized I like neutral colors for my decorations ;-) Once I heat embossed these 3 stockings with white EP on Kraft cardstock, the rest came together like magic ;-) I hang them on this branch die cut using the What A Hoot Die Set ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

I die cut this little tag using the Tags Times Two Die Set for the sentiment, which was heat embossed with copper EP. A little aqua bow on top for a pop of color ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

My second card with the new Holiday Stockings Set has a very similar design but looks totally different! Can you see the pretty snow on the background? I like white embossing paste on white cardstock, it might not be as noticeable but the textures look so nice!

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

I still stuck with no-coloring but for these, I heat embossed with coral EP on vanilla cardstock, then added these super cute pom-pom trims ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Stockings Set - Naki Rager

And instead of a smaller branch, I used the birch tree from the new Forest Scene Builder Die Set to hang my stockings. The glittery coral sentiment was die cut using the Holiday Greetings Die Set ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Ornamental Wishes/Ornament Shaker Sets - Naki Rager

Here is my first card with the Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set and Ornament Shaker Die Set ;-)
The design itself is pretty simple but it has a lot of sparkles ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Ornamental Wishes/Ornament Shaker Sets - Naki Rager

The little gingerbread man cookies, stockings, and Ho Ho Ho confetti inside the shaker were die cut using the new Ornament Shaker Die Set, aren't they cute!? I did add some bead seeds for the sound effect ;-) I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set on a vellum banner, which was die cut using the Frame and Flags Die Set. I heat embossed the holly leaves again on blue cardstock and fussy cut it so I could pop it on with the red sequins.

Newton's Nook Designs Ornament Shaker Sets - Naki Rager

I know what you're thinking, where are the ornaments!?
Well, I loved the wee gingerbread man cookies so much, they became the star of this card ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Ornament Shaker Sets - Naki Rager

I borrowed the stuffed kitty from the Newton's Thanksgiving Set and cut slits where his paws are so that he could hold one of the cookies ;-) Poor little cookie in my kitty's paws isn't smiling like the rest of them because he knows his fate.....{LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Ornament Shaker Sets - Naki Rager

I used the new holiday Greetings Die Set to make "be Merry, be Happy".
My kitty certainly is happy eating all his cookies, but it is still a Christmas card ;-) This is totally me in December, my in-laws bake so many Christmas cookies every year! My fave is pizzelles, I even help making them and I do not bake! {LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 2

Tuesday, October 16, 2018

Hello, Newton lovers!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 19th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop! Today is day two of the reveal and let's just say, these sets will make you squeal ;-)

This adorable set is called Nutcracker Squeak 💚
And I thought Jen's mice couldn't get any cuter, she had them dressed up and it is just killing me!!!
This one is called Caroling Newton 🎵
How stinkin' cute is this trio of caroling kitties!!?
And do you see the little mouse, too!? 😍

Alright, here is what I created...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

My first card with the Nutcracker Squeak Set is a trio of adorable ballerinas dancing together 💛💗💙
I wanted one to be the Plum Sugar Fairy but she is so cute, I couldn't just color one! Also, this way, this design can be used for any occasions, all you need to do is change the sentiment ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

Ballet is so elegant and beautiful, isn't it!? Every move is simply amazing but I especially adore the move when multiple ballerinas hold hands while their arms crossed in front of them, and walk (more like hop on their toes) sideways. I'm sure it has a name but I know nothing about ballet... Anyway, that is what my sweet ballerinas are doing here ;-) And they slide together, too ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

Can I just tell you that my second card with the Nutcracker Squeak Set here looks MUCH BETTER in person!? {LOL} I used the Stick-it adhesive sheet to mount the vellum piece and that made the patterned paper really come through! 😣

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

This sentiment was heat embossed with gold tinsel EP. I usually lose a lot of glitters while heat setting but this one turned out to be so beautiful! Too bad I made that boo boo with the adhesive...can't win, can I...{LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

Look at these cuties! 💗
I recently bought a light gray alcohol-based ink pad because I absolutely hate staining my stamps with black ink! And the bonus of using this ink, which totally surprised me, is that when you watercolor, the ink absorbs the colors and makes it look like no-line coloring!

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

Seriously, how cute are these little guys!!?
The French Horn was colored with light pink first, then colored with light gold pearl watercolor to create "ROSE GOLD". Isn't it beautiful!?

Newton's Nook Designs The Nutcracker Squeak Set - Naki Rager

I wasn't sure if this stamp set was based on the book or the ballet, but that really doesn't matter when they're this sweet and cute, does it!? ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

These sweet caroling kitties are too cute, they're killing me!!!
I couldn't decide if I wanted to color to give different markings or leave them all white, then I had this blended piece of watercolor paper that I made for another project but ended up not using and since it is colorful (unlike my usual color pallet!), keeping them all white was the way ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

My kitties were stamped with light gray ink, watercolored, then die cut using the coordinating die set. The sentiment (SOOOO CUTE 💗) was heat embossed with silver EP on vellum banner, which was die cut using the Frames and Flags Die Set. I also added little holly leaves and berries to it.

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

I also used the new Music Stencil and glimmer paste on the background. It made perfect sense to pair it with this stamp set, was I right ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

My second card with the Caroling Newton Set is all about these wee guys! EEK 💙

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

When you multiply a cute wee guy by 10, apparently this is what happens ;-)
They look like they're singing their little hearts out, don't they!? Just LOVE them 💙

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

I really liked the red foil sentiment on my tone-on-tone-kraft-card yesterday so here it is again ;-) I also simply could not stay away from the new Holiday Greeting Die Set, but then again, how could I!?

Newton's Nook Designs Caroling Newton Set - Naki Rager

Instead of my usual sequins as a finishing touch, I heat embossed some music notes with white EP. It really completes the whole look of this design!
