{Heart} You

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Hi there, lovelies!
I have a super simple but super cute card to share today!
This was inspired by the Little Tangles Challenge over at Neat & Tangled ;-)

Here it is ;-)

{CAS}
We all know that this means Clean and Simple, but sometimes I think it should be Cute and Simple! *Ha Ha* This card actually would apply to both though.

After die cutting this beautiful heart, some of the inside pieces just fell out, and I liked the look of it! So I popped a few more out myself, and put washi tape on the back to hold the rest in place.
All I wanted to add was "you", and this one looks just right on my heart! I die cut the sentiment 3 times then mounted them on top of each other as usual, then some sparkle was applied with the clear glitter pen.

I chose mint for my base, I think gold looks so beautiful against it!
I had to have my vellum, and this one with a bunch of tiny hearts was perfect ;-)
I trimmed it down to 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" and directly sewed it onto m base card.

My notes...

Paper: Mint Macaron, Basic Black, Gold Foil Sheet, Gold Fancy Designer Vellum Foil
Ink: Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen
Tool: Heart of Gold Die (Neat and Tangled), Hand Lettered Thanks Die (WPlus9), Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Challenges

Friday, March 11, 2016

Hi there, happy Friday!
Today I am playing along 3 challenges with one card!

Originally I just wanted to play the Sketch Challenge over at My Favorite Things because I've been itching to play with my new Chef set from them!

Then I saw this pretty color combo for the Color Challenge so I had to play this too ;-)

I've only played the Little Tangles Challenge a few times because I don't own any Neat and Tangled products (I am not sure why though... :

So here it is...

All my cardstock and ink I own are Stmpin' Up!, I love their huge color selection, and just can't beat how everything matches!
Anyway, I chose Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi (This was like my 2nd time using this green!), Daffodil Delight, and Crumb Cake. Aren't they just lovely together!?

Here is my ombre.
I made a stencil using the Triangles Background Die from MFT, then sponged only some of them with Pear Pizzazz, then made them gradually darker by sponging with Wild Wasabi.

I LOVE this stamp set from Studio Calico, but it doesn't get enough love from me!
I stamped this cute bunny with Crumb Cake, then colored his bow tie with Wild Wasabi, his little nose and buttons with Daffodil Delight, eyes with my super fine journaling pen, then of course I had to give blushed cheeks! I also stamped the balloons from the same set with Crumb Cake, and watercolored 3 more on Watercolor Paper and fussy cut them.

I stamped the cluster of tiny stars, which is also from the same stamp set, to add more yellow, then wrapped some Linen Twine to add some more "Biscotti".
I was actually done there, but the design looked weird so I stamped the sentiment with Wild Wasabi.
I love how this turned out, I think it's so cute! i just LOVE this color combo!!!

My notes...

Stamp: Birthday by Lizzy M (Studio Calico)
Paper: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Accessory: Linen Twine
Tool: Die-namics Blueprint 25, Triangles Background (My Favorite Things)

Thank you so  much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Thursday, July 23, 2015

Hello there!
Today I am joining the fun over at Sparkle and Shine Challenge
They have a sketch for you!

A very interesting sketch, isn't it!?

After I was done making this card, I decide to enter in the Little Tangles Challenge as well since I used a lot of dies!

AND! I also realized that my 3 colors are "Gallon/Quart/Pint" ratio as one of the lessens over at My Favorite Things, so why not enter it!?

Here is my card:-)

I was pretty true to the sketch, and am so happy with how this card turned out!
See, Night of navy is my gallon, Silver is my quart, and Daffodil Delight is my pint. A good advise usually sticks to you, because I really wasn't trying!
I just got that globe die from Amazon.com, such a dangerous place for shopping! You can literally find anything you're looking for! or in my case, I find things I wasn't looking for.....LOL

This super adorable rocket stamp set is from Studio Calico, they were having these ridiculous sales every week, and this set was dirt cheap! plus free shipping! I couldn't resist... and I am glad I bought it! The set gives you a boy and a girl to sit inside the rocket. I chose the boy for this one because this is going to be my 2nd surprise card for my husband! *wink*
I actually colored the rocket with the silver glitter pen, but not a lot of glitter came out :-( Oh well, I think this card has enough sparkles anyway, right!?

Of course I had to add some silver star sequins!
This Sparkle and Shine challenge does not require you to use Pretty Pink Posh sequins, but required or not, I can always use them on my cards! ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Rocket set (Studio Calico)
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Silver Foil Sheet, Typeset SDSP, Maritime DSP
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Encore Silver Ink Pad
Accessory: Silver Stars Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
Tool: 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Stars Die (Studio Calico), Shimelle Globe Die (American Craft), Die-namics Blueprint 15 (My Favorite Things), Finished Framed Elle-ments (Avery Elle-I used one of the stars)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Little Tangles Sketch Challenge

Saturday, June 20, 2015

Hi lovelies!
Before I start, if you're subscribed to receive my new posts in email and saw my double dare card, It wasn't meant for yesterday...so you will see it again...
I am so sorry!!

Now, today's card!

Their challenge does not require to use Neat and Tangled stuff, but they offer free digital images so that's what I used for now... I have several items in my shopping cart at their site, I am just waiting a little since I have been a bit crazy shopping online lately...lol

I had a total different design first, but when I was going through my stash of embellishments, I found these lovely pieces. They were given to me by my lovely friend Nina a few years ago, and they're so cute I just couldn't use them! lol I know, I'm weird like that...

She actually had Early Espresso Baker's Twin on that paper spool, but I replaced it with Pool Party Baker's Twin. The gold buttons are die cuts from My Favorite Things. I doubled the Dimensionals on the flower one. The little white flower was punched with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. I used the paper doily to give a softer look, then a gumdrop was added in the center.

The sentiment is one of the free digital images that Neat and Tangled offers. I printed on the Pool Party cardstock then fussy cut it, but the black ink looked so awkward with the soft colors, I tried covering it with the gold glitter pen.
What do you think?

My notes...

Stamp: Free Digital Image from Neat and Tangled
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Gold Foil Sheet, Etcetera DSP
Accessory: Pool Party Baker's Twine, Gold 1/8" Ribbon, Coral Glittered Gumdrop (Your Next Stamp), Paper Doily
Tool: Die-namics Vintage Buttons (My Favorite Things), Wink of Stella Gold Glitter Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sewing Machine

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Challenges!

Sunday, April 5, 2015

Hello my lovely stampers!
I am playing another challenge with this card!

I just got this stamp set along with the matching die set from Ellen Hutson, and simply wanted to play with them. So why not play a challenge? Luckily I have a little challenge patrol emails me beautiful challenges, thanks Nina! One of them in the recent email was Just Add Ink. Their Inspirational photos were just gorgeous!

And here is my take...

I cannot say enough how much I LOVE these flowers! Are they not the most beautiful paper thing you have ever seen!?
So I first heat embossed those lovely flowers in gold on my new obsession, watercolor paper, brushed Blushing Bride all over, then watercolored the flowers with Calypso Coral. Those pinks are just gorgeous against gold, aren't they!?

I layered the die cut flower and leaves on Colypso Coral and Gumball Green, the metallic gold just pops on these colors and just simply lovely!

I added some gold confetti from Winnie & Walter, and I am entering this card in Little Tangles Challenge!  What a pretty site this is! I could make so many cards with sequins! My collections isn't big yet, but it's only a matter of time.....hee hee

I really liked all the elements in the Just Add Ink inspirational photos, the colors, petty flowers, burlap, crochet trims, gold accent... What do you think, did I capture them well!?

My notes...

Stamp: Essentials by Ellen Hutson Bold Blossoms
Paper: Gumball Green, Calyspo Coral, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Versamark, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral Stampin' Re-inkers, Water
Accessory: 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Venetian Crochet Trim, Winnie & Walter Gold Confetti
Tool: Essential by Ellen Hutson Bold Blossoms Stand-Alone Die, heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Paint Brush, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
