Newton's Nook Designs Febuary Release Day 4

Thursday, February 20, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
Wow, it is already the last of the Newton's Nook Designs Release!
I'm sure you're ready to see the new sets so here we go!

This gorgeous set is called Easter Lily.
Isn't it absolutely beautiful!!?

And then we have the Hello Spring Mini Set 💛
It might be small but this is such a fun image, I LOVE it!
Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Easter Lily Set - Naki Rager

First up is this simple and elegant Easter card.
I must say, this design is not my usual cutesy style, I feel so grown-up! {LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Easter Lily Set - Naki Rager

So I stamped the beautiful image twice, one on the front panel, the other on another piece so I could die cut. Just like coloring snowman or anything white, I like defying the lines by adding shadows.

I decided to put my flowers in this mason jar from the Lovely Blooms Stamp Set.
I stamped the jar image right on the front panel then drew the stems inside, then applied Glossy Accent as water. The front panel was mounted on kraft cardstock to keep the organic feel.

Newton's Nook Designs Hello Spring Set - Naki Rager

Spring means colors!
So I thought soft rainbow colors were very fitting with this mini stamp set.

I heat embossed the image with Rose Gold EP on vellum then fussy cut around it, then colored in with acrylic paint. I know it's a bit messy 😣 Anyway, I placed it on top of this pleated crepe paper to give some texture and dimension.

After making the rainbow background, I added these dainty lovely flowers using the new Petite Flowers Stencil, I just LOVE this new stencil! I used the Therm-O-Web Pearl White Metallix Gel for a subtle but shiny and fun effect.

I think this card turned out to be better than I had pictured in my heat!
Rainbow colors are so happy and fun, I just love it!

Newton's Nook Designs Febuary Release Day 3

Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs February Release!
Today is reveal day 3 and I just know you're all going to love this set!

I LOVE rainy days! Yes, I am one of those weirdos {LOL}
I think rain is very cleansing, plus I get to wear my cute rain boots!
So the Newton's Rain Boots Set totally stole my heart 💛
Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Rain Boots Set - Naki Rager

I must admit, this card turned out to be better than I had pictured in my head!
(sorry, totally full of myself 😝)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Rain Boots Set - Naki Rager

As soon as I saw this image, I thought "PAPER PIECING!!!"
Finding the perfect patterned paper wasn't easy and paper piecing IS very time-consuming, but I think it was totally worth all that work!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Rain Boots Set - Naki Rager

It made perfect sense to create a rainy background so I used the new Raindrops Stencil. I decided to foil these raindrops with Therm-O-Web Deco Foil Iridescent Transfer Sheet for serious sparkle and shine and I LOVE it!

I made another card using the Newton's Rain Boots Set ;-)
This one is super simple and funny!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Rain Boots Set - Naki Rager

For a quick and fun card, I stamped this cute little ducky on this patterned paper and die cut it using the coordinating die. Then I stamped the "quack" 3 times and popped them behind this little guy as he was laughing!

"You Quack me up!" was stamped on this skinny strip of cardstock, I just love this sentiment! The stars were die cut using the new SKy Scene Builder Die Set and that is it!
I couldn't help myself, it just "Quacked me up"!!! 😆

Newton's Nook Designs Febuary Release Day 2

Tuesday, February 18, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs February Release!
Today is day 2 and we're revealing these sweet and awesome sets!

Oh my goodness, baby bibs!!! 💛
So the stitched bib die coordinates the bib images but the scallop bib die is for layering purpose only.

This new awesome die set is called Sky Scene Builder 🌞🌛⛅
You just know that this is a must-have, don't you...😉
Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Bitty Bibs Set - Naki Rager

When my kids were babies, I used to buy so many bibs simply because they were so cute! And you know, your babies have to look better than you so their bibs had to match their outfits, too...{LOL} But it was also a lot of laundries!

Newton's Nook Designs Bitty Bibs Set - Naki Rager

My original plan was to use all the bibs from the set, but I settled with just 3 of them instead {LOL} The images were stamped, colored, then die cut using the stitched bib die from the Baby Bibs Die Set. Then I layered them on matching colored scallop bibs for extra sweetness 💛

Newton's Nook Designs Bitty Bibs Set - Naki Rager

I had to have the sun to line dry my baby's adorable bibs, luckily we have the new Sky Scene Builder Die Set! I die cut this one from watercolor paper and blended a yellow and orange, then splattered some water and copper ink. The circle piece was popped on with foam tape.

Newton's Nook Designs Bitty Bibs Set - Naki Rager

I used the Hills and Grass Stencil to add tall grass right on the front panel, then I die cut moe grass using the Land Borders Die Set and popped it on with foam tape to add dimension.

Newton's Nook Designs Febuary Release Day 1

Monday, February 17, 2020

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs February Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 21st in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
On our first day of the reveal, we're showcasing these awesome new sets!

Even though this winter hasn't been bad at all, I am so ready for spring and this adorable Hop Into Spring Set made me want spring even more!

We have 2 new stencils this month!
Raindrops Stencil on the left, and Petite Flowers Stencil on the right.
I am so very excited about these two stencils!
Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

I wasn't trying to but I ended up with this pretty romantic card 💛

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

This little bunny in a watering can with a bunch of tulips image is absolutely adorable!
As always, I did no-line watercoloring and die cut it with the coordinating die. The sentiment was heat embossed with white on this blue-ish purple cardstock then die cut using the stitched banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

I had a completely different background first but it really wasn't working at all! And for some weird reason, I reached for a doily and the rest came together like magic!

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

I made another card using the Hop Into Spring Stamp Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

I simply LOVE this hoppy bunny holding her Easter egg image!
She is a brown bunny, not chocolate! {LOL}
The fun sentiment was heat embossed with copper EP on vellum then die cut using the skinny banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Hop Into Spring Set - Naki Rager

This card is 3-3/4" x 5-1/2", I had to trim off 1/2" due to the length of the chevron die cuts and I am loving this skinny size! I applied some very subtle flowers on 2 of the corners using the new Petite Flowers Stencil and embossing paste.

Newton's Nook Designs Sweet Treats Blog Hop

Saturday, February 8, 2020

Happy Saturday, my lovelies!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs Annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop!
The Newton's Nook Designs Team is hopping along today to share some great Sweet Treats - just in time for Valentine's day! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list and hop along and comment for a chance to win!

Let's take a look at my treat then ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Candy Heart Set - Naki Rager

I decorated this little peat moss pot, which idea is from our former DT member Jen Timko (click HERE to see her project) with a few NND products. First, I wrapped the pot with mint x white twine then added the pink pompom trim.

Here's a little photo of my supervisor Emrys fixing I don't know what...LOL

Newton's Nook Designs Candy Heart Set - Naki Rager

These adorable hearts with Valentine's Day messages were created using the Candy Heart Stamp set and its coordinating Candy Heart Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Candy Heart Set - Naki Rager

There are 8 little messages in the set so I decided to use them all ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Candy Heart Set - Naki Rager

As you can see, I simply die cut the hearts then heat embossed the messages with white EP.

They were all tucked in under the twine, and secured with glue dots as well.

Newton's Nook Designs Essential Alphabet Die Set & Darling Heart Die Set - Naki Rager

This stitched heart was die cut using the Darling Hearts Die Set, and the XOXO was die cut using the Essential Alphabet Die Set. It was stapled onto the paper straw with rose gold staples.

Newton's Nook Designs Framework Die Set - Naki Rager

This might be a bit corny and childish but I thought it'd be cute to add some "love tickets" to the treats ;-) These little tickets were die cut from the same colored cardstock as the candy hearts using the ticket die from the Framework Die Set. Then I wrote some love/Valentine's related "activities" with a white gel pen.

I hope my treat was sweet enough for you!
You can do the twine and candy hearts decoration on a brown bag or a mason jar or anything you can think of!
