Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Happy Little Thoughts

Monday, May 16, 2016

Hello lovelies! Major news!!
I received this email from Jennifer Jackson, the owner and designer of Newton's Nook Designs, asking me to be her guest for the month of May! I was out shopping with my husband when I opened the email, and started to squeal and jump up and down! I was so happy I didn't care that people were looking at me! *LOL*

On day one, we are revealing this gorgeous stamp set Happy Little Thoughts along with the matching die set. They will be available for purchase on Friday May 20th!

I know, right!? ;-)
Here is what I created...

Of course I had to play with all the beautiful wreathes!
They're 5" x 3-3/4", smaller than A2 cards but not quite note cards.

My card #1 is this delicate flower wreath.
It was heat embossed with white then water colored with soft colors. Do you see how dainty and pretty it is!? I die cut my white linen cardstock with the scallop frame, heat embossed the sentiment (which is absolutely lovely!) on it, then water colored with green and yellow so it is visible. Popped the wreath with dimensionals and added some sequins, done!

Card #2 is gorgeous grapevine wreath!
It was heat embossed with Early Espresso then die cut. I sewed some Crumb Cake Tulle, layered some gold thread, the wreath, crochet trim, a little heart that was die cut with the medium heart from the Darling Hearts Die set. The love die cut is also from the same die set. I was imagining a lovely, rustic wedding ;-)

Last but not least, card #3!
When I saw this leafy wreath, I got the idea of framing something like a logo. I looked through my NND collection and this French kitty was perfect! I heat embossed this cutie with a little mustache in gold, popped the gold wreath on, gave him a little banner and a bow, ta-da! I love combining multiple sets, you can make something so unique!
