Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 4

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Hi there lovelies!
Welcome to the final day of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!
All the new goodies will be available for purchase tomorrow Friday the 20th over at the NND Shop!
We're sharing this fun, adorable set Newton's Happy Mail along with the coordinating Die Set!

I must say, any mail from the Newton's Nook designs is always a happy mail, but I really, really, really wouldn't mind him delivering mail to me in person! {LOL}

I LOVE watercoloring, I enjoy it so very much.
Of course this one was so much fun to color too ;-)
There is always one tough decision to make though...
"What kind of kitty do I want Newton to be today?" {Hee Hee}

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Happy Mail Set - Naki Rager

I stamped this cutest mail carrier with Smoky Slate Ink 3 times.
I colored the whole image on one, only the mailbox on another, then only the little flag on the last one. I fussy cut the mailbox and flag, paper pieced them, and popped it up on my main panel.

The colors were totally inspired by this lovely washi tape ;-)
I made that tiny little envelope, stamped the sentiment, slid the little letter into the envelope, and added a teeny tiny bow ;-)
Again, this adorable image had to be my focal point since it is just way too cute! Obviously I love all these cute critters that Jen designs, but another reason why I love NND so much is because you don't have to add so much to your projects. Her images are more than enough to make beautiful cards, don't you agree!!?

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 3

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

Hello lovelies!
Welcome back to day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!
All the new goodies will be available for purchase this Friday the 20th over at the NND Shop ;-)
Today we are sharing this super adorable and unique set Pug Hugs along with the coordinating die set! Yes, I said PUG!
Ready to go AWWWWW !?

Ohmygoodness!!!
Did Jen totally capture the cuteness of pugs or what!!?
Those wrinkly little faces with big, bug eyes, chunky little legs, and the curly little tail!
EEEEEEEEk!!!

Newton's Nook Designs Pug Hugs Set - Naki Rager

I have a special spot for pugs in my heart...
When I was a child, there was this special documentary show on TV about this crazy old man living with a bunch of animals and many families to take care of them on his huge property. He was amazing, it was like he could talk to any animal and connect! Anyway, he made this movie where this orange tiger kitty (just like Newton!) and this cutest little pug go on a journey together...or did they get lost? gosh, that movie probably came out over 30 years ago! LOL Anyway, ever since that movie, pugs are my favorite dog breed!

Alright, back to the blogland...{giggle}
I stamped this cutie with Crumb Cake Ink on watercolor paper and colored him with my beautiful Zig Clean Color Brush Set. I am very pleased with how this little guy turned out! I gave him extra wrinkles and folds since that is one of their irresistible charms!
He was die cut with the coordinating die (again, LOVE it!).

That sentiment is just priceless, don't you think!!?
"need a pug?" instead of a hug...
simply adorable!
This kraft with gold hearts paper is from this $1 6"x6" pad from Target, isn't it fabulous!!?
I say this all the time, but when you have such cute/beautiful images, you really don't need to have a lot on your card. Popping on the images on cute simple patterned paper is really all I needed ;-) Oh and that little heart was leftover from my owl card on day 1, I said, why not!? {Hee Hee}

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 2

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

Hi there lovelies!
Welcome back to day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!
Today we are sharing this super sweet and yummy set called Love and Chocolate along with the coordinating die set!
All the new goodies will be available for purchase this Friday the 20th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop ;-)

It's okay if you drooled a bit just now...{giggle}
This set is just so stinkin' cute and fun, and so perfect for Valentine's Day!

Newton's Nook Designs Love and Chocolate Set - Naki Rager

I hope this is sweet enough for you! ;-)

As you can see, this set offers you so many sweet treats and sweet sentiments!
This cute sentiment in such a lovely font is my fave!
I heat embossed it (surprise! lol) in white on watercolor paper, water colored over the sentiment, then tore it to make my own cake ;-)
I topped it with little kiss chocolate, how cute are they!!? All I needed to do was die cut them from brown cardstock then covered them with the Glossy Accent.

This lovely cake stand was heat embossed and water colored in Pool Party, then die cut. I just love how easy it is to create something when there are coordinating dies!

Newton's Nook Designs January Release Day 1 - Woodland Duos

Monday, January 16, 2017

Hello lovelies, Happy New Year!
I am here today with the Newton's Nook Designs January Release! Woo hoo!
We are sharing this adorable stamp set called Woodland Duos on day1!
This is a sequel of the Darling Duos set, it was released with the coordinating die set Darling Hearts Purr-fect Die, which also coordinates this new set revealed today!
Well, naturally ;-)

Ohmygoodness!
Can you even stand how cute it is!!?
When I first saw this, it made me squeal because the Darling Duos set is one of my faves!
Alright, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Woodland Duos Set - Naki Rager

This owl couple is just too sweet and perfect for Valentine's Day, isn't it!?
They can even be a daddy and his little girl...LOVE it!

Newton's Nook Designs Woodland Duos Set - Naki Rager

I heat embossed this lovely image with light gold then water colored. It was die cut with the coordinating die Darling Hearts. I also water colored another piece of watercolor paper, heat embossed this cute sentiment in white, and die cut another heart.

Newton's Nook Designs Woodland Duos Set - Naki Rager

I die cut one of the arrows from the Points & Plumes Purr-fect Die set, chopped in half then pierced it through the pink heart. I also die cut the feathers from the same set from this teal vellum as they fell from my teal owl.
Since this is a Valentine's Day card, I mounted my sweet hearts on a paper doily, then on a vellum with gold hearts ;-) Is this sweet enough for you!?

Happy New Year!

Saturday, December 31, 2016

Hi there lovelies!
Can you believe today is the last day of the year 2016!!?
It was such a fun year being on the Newton's Nook Design DT, and I get to start the new year as one of the DT member again! So exciting!

New year's day is the biggest celebration in Japan, and it is so very totally different from how it is celebrated here. I left Japan after graduating from high school and wow! that was 20 years ago now!!! So to me now, new year is watching Times Square on TV, and that is exactly what I have made here!

I used the building images from the Newton Dreams of New York set!
They were heat embossed with clear emboss powder on gray cardstock then die cut with the Newton Dreams of New York Purr-fect die set.

I love fireworks, so that was my first inspiration for this card.
The night sky was created with blue, green, yellow and black Distressed Ink. Of course I had to splatter some water. I also sprayed some white and gold ink all over the panel. It was quite messy bit so fun!
I wasn't sure how to draw fireworks, but I googled some images and there they are! The big, colorful one was drawn with my Kuretake Gansai Watercolor set that I received from my bestie in Japan (who has been my bestie since we were 16! Wow!), and zig Clean Color Brush set. What do you think?

I hope you all have a beautiful year filled with fun, laughter, some tears, and lots and lots of ink on your hands! To help you with that, Newton's Nook Designs is having a New Year Sale for 3 days starting today! Woo Hoo! So make sure you head over to the Shop!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy New Year lovelies!!!
