Hello, my lovelies!
This week Newton's Nook Designs and Chibitronics are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to light up your cards using Chibi lights with Newton's Nook Designs stamps!
We received their starter kit to work with, thank you so much!
I love the name, Chibi means teeny tiny in Japanese, so perfect, right!?
This is what was inside of the box ;-)
Add-on items are available for purchase at their website (click HERE to visit.)
Alright, here is my take...;-)
Tomorrow is my mom's birthday, and she always appreciates my handmade cards so figured she'd really like this fun, light-up card!
It took me a long time to decide on which stamp set to use with the fun Chibi lights, and thought a lit up Eifel tower would be pretty!
Don't you wish you could be in that hot air balloon with Newton!?
The night sky was sponged with Distress Oxide ink on watercolor paper with a die cut Eifel Tower as a mask, splattered some water and copper ink all over the panel, then removed the mask.
I am SO NOT an engineer {LOL}
So I was pretty overwhelmed, but after watching a couple videos on youTube, I gave it a try and it was not as bad as I thought ;-) See!? It lights up as it's supposed to! {LOL}
Here is a close-up.
My Eifel Tower was heat embossed with copper embossing powder where I had the mask, and water colored with red gold watercolor in hopes of reflecting the Chibi lights and shine... Well, look at this! These teeny tiny lights are amazingly bright! {Woo Hoo!}
This collaboration was an absolute pleasure, and full of fun!
Now that I have tried Chibitronics and know that it's not scary {LOL}, you must try and see it yourself! It really is a lot of fun, and you'd LOVE your finished project!
Would you like to win a prize pack including a Starter Kit from Chibitronics and a $30 store credit to Newton’s Nook Designs?
