Hi! Hi!! Hi!!!
July is such an exciting month because Newton's Nook Designs celebrates their anniversary and this year, it is a big 5! WOW!
We are going to celebrate all week with the reveal of the new products, and we have tons of fun, new sets! AND we will have a blog hop with fabulous guests, too!
I love July Release, not only it's a big release month, but Jen usually has fun summer stuff, and this release is no different! Today, we are revealing 3 stamp sets along with their coordinating die sets and 2 stencils! OH.MY.WORD.!!! 💗
Mermaids and Narwhales...
We couldn't possibly ask for more, could we!!?
I was dying to color these adorable ladies! 💗
Okay, I may have spoken too soon...
YES! PURR-MAIDS!!!
Let's just say, I cannot wait to see what the rest of DT members have created with these cuties as we were all super psyched to see this set! 💗
And when you thought "this release is already so fabulous!", here we are with these cute little chunky "Floaty Potatoes! They're soooo cute 💗
Call me a broken record, but I am so happy to see new stencils every time!
And now look at this GORGEOUS design 💗
I totally flipped out when I first saw this new stencil!
My hubby's passion is marine life, especially the corals. He actually wanted to be a marine biologist but you know, life doesn't always go the way you want... Anyway, We've been married for almost 20 years now and I know a bit about a lot of different marine lives myself 😉 So this stencil is just perfect for us!
Alright, are you ready?
I have TONS of photos this week so brace yourself!
I ended up with this trio of mermaid cards, I just wanted to color them all! {LOL}
All the images from the new Narly Mermaids Set were heat embossed with White EP and watercolored then die cut with the coordinating die set. Here's my mermaid #1 with her fish friends, she immediately reminded me of Ariel from the Disney's Little Mermaid! They were all watercolored then pearl watercolor was added for some shimmers 😉
I paired her with this adorable sentiment 😉
It was heat embossed with metallic Silver EP to match the metallic washi tape.
I know I'm a bad photographer so just take my words when I say, this pearl is so delicate and beautiful with the pearly watercolor! {LOL}
Next mermaid has a turquoise hair with an orange tail, and she is hanging out with her narwhale and sea star friends 💗 Aren't they simply adorable holding hands and dancing in the sea!?
They certainly are making waves dancing together!
This is another adorable sentiment from the new Narly Mermaids Set and it was heat embossed with Metallic Copper EP to math the Metallic Copper washi tape.
My last lady has beautiful purple hair and a green ombre tail, and she is busy snuggling with her sweet narwhale friend 💚 The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold EP to match the Gold Washi Tape.
All the backgrounds are watercolored with Cracked Pistachio and Faded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks, I also splattered some of the inks, then added sparkly waves using the Waves Stencil and glitter paste.
So as I said early, the whole DT is super excited to see these cuties and I'm sure you are too! Newton's girlfriend is so lovely, I had to have a lot of pink for her!
My beautiful purr-maid and her seahorse friends were heat embossed with Rose Gold EP and watercolored with pearl watercolors. The seahorse swims over to the purr-maid to give her a little kiss, isn't it sweet!? 💗
This sweet sentiment was also heat embossed with Rose Gold EP.
The background was sponged with Tattered Rose and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks, splattered some water, then those beautiful shells were applied using the new Seashell Stencil and glitter paste.
And here's my Newton 💙
I die cut a few layers of vellum using the Sea Borders Die Set to create an ocean for him to swim in, and added a glittery seafloor and lots and lots of sequins all over the ocean! What a magical ocean, I wish I could swim with him!
He was heat embossed and colored with the pearl watercolors as well.
The position he is in fits perfectly in the waves, I love when things work out on their own 💙
These manatees are so chunky and cute 💙
These 2 chubby friends are making a little water whirl!
I heat embossed all the images with Silver EP on watercolor paper and watercolored, then die cut using the coordinating dies. The sentiments were also heat embossed with Silver EP then die cut with speech bubbles.
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the "Floaty Potatoes" sentiment 💙 What a cute and perfect nickname for them! And did you notice that this manatee can hold stuff with his flappers!? This one found a pretty seashell 😉
They can go round and round and never stop!
I watercolored the ocean with blue and some yellow, then added shimmer with pearl watercolor.
