Today is day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release and we're revealing 2 awesome stamp sets along with their coordinating die sets!
The Holiday Fringe is a new addition to the Square Card Front line!
These square stamps are always jam-packed with so much fun!
Ohmygosh!!!
Isn't this simply amazing!!?
I totally fell in love with the new Main Street set the first time I saw it!
The coordinating die set comes with 3 bonus sentiment dies and that's always exciting as well!
Okay, here's my take...;-)
I usually like non-traditional Christmas colors but this fun-filled image was begging me to go with the red x green ;-)
I heat embossed the image with copper EP on a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" watercolor paper and watercolored it. I kind of assigned certain colors to certain objects so it didn't end up with 50 different colors. I added lots of sparkles to the light bulbs and ornaments with pearl watercolor AND glitter pen!
I drew red diagonal stripes every 1/4" using my ruler and red watercolor colored pencil then colored in every other stripes. Now I am looking at this, maybe wider stripes might have been better but I still like how this turned out!
How cute is this little town image!!?
I was so excited to color these houses!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock. I wanted fun and bright colors so it was colored in with Copic markers. The second building (looks like a church but could be anything) is my favorite with all those stained glass windows!
Santa Claus is busy delivering presents all over the world!
I heat embossed this small but magical image with sparkly black EP and die cut it with the coordinating die. Then I die cut the sliding path for him to keep moving on! I heat embossed the little snowflakes image with iridescent EP as Santa and his magical reindeer sprinkle some Christmas magic dust all over! They weren't very visible so I just went over the whole piece with the glitter pen {LOL}
Just to show some of the small details...
I applied yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops to each and every glass as glowing lights on Christmas night, also turquoise and copper on the Christmas tree.
I added this black and white striped washi tape on the bottom to look like roads, plus to match lots of blacks on these houses I used ;-)
Here are a couple of simple tags made with the Ornaments Stancil and the sentiment dies from the Main Street Die Set.
The tags were die cut with the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set from white cardstock, and these beautiful ornaments were applied using the new Ornaments Stancil and Therm-O-Web Metallix Gel. The sentiment was die cut from the red foil sheet.
The believe sentiment was die cut from pink glimmer paper.
I like the red foil much better, what do you think?
