Welcome to new Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge! Can you believe it is December already!? We had our first real snow yesterday here in upstate NY...
After a week off, we have a very interesting combo for you:-)
I needed a Birthday card for my husband's little cousin who is turning 18!
Make a vintage card
No stamp
When I saw the combination, I immediately thought about using the Fan Fair DSP because of their distressed, vintage prints. But I ended up using only the numbers 1 and 8 from the pack, which was so perfect for this card!
Turned out, the World Spectacular DSP was a better fit for this card since I could not use any stamps. I snipped out the hot air balloons, the tickets, the banners... everything I needed was all on this pack of Designer Series Papers... You gotta love them:-)
Now, I LOVE vintage cards but my style is more of CAS, and am not sure how to make vintage cards... I did learn the distressing a card stock technique from one of my fellow pretty pals Ann Schach's blog though, she is so talented...:-) Her vintage cards take my breaths away...
Of course, no vintage card is done without daubing some ink on card stocks to give an aged look, right;-)
