Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge

Friday, March 13, 2015

Hi there!
Happy Friday the 13th!
It's time for another Double Dare Challenge!

Embossing Folder

Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim Ribbon

Oh boy, was this hard to come up with a good design....
The very first thought that came to my mind after seeing our picks was to have elegant emboss on a pale pink cardstock, and have the lace across the card.
I had no other ideas coming to me for a long time... So I decided I should sit at my desk and start making it anyway!
Well, I did finish one, but it ended up with lots and lots of layers! which is unusual for me, but every time I added something, it looked like it needed one more thing...hahaha
I sponged my embossed Very Vanilla piece with the Gold Encore Ink, which gave it an antique look and I love it! BUT the ink made the adhesive hard to stick on. I used my trusty Tombow Liquid glue to place the doily, and placed the pink flowers on top of the stamped image so it would stay.

This has to be THE most romantic card I have ever made!
And I love it!
I have 2 boys and 2 girls, and I am obsessed with tutus for my baby girls, maybe that was my inspiration for this romantic, girly card...

My Notes...

Stamp: You're Lovely (Retired)
Paper: Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla
Ink: Gold Encore Ink Pad, Versamark
Accessory: Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim Ribbon, Gold 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Artisan Embellishment Kit (Pink Flowers and Large Pearls), Tea Lace Paper Doily
Tool: Heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Retired Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (I'm sorry but I don't remember the name or when it's from!), Glue Dots

~ My Special Note ~
If you own the You're Lovely stamp set, the Deco Framelits dise fit the image used on this card. I didn't realized it until the card was finished, so I fussy cut them....hahaha

Now let's head to Nina's lovely blog and check out her lovely card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
