Hello lovelies!
Are you all enjoying this nice fall weather as much as I am!?
Fall is such a pretty season, too bad it doesn't last too long here upstate NY...
Anyway, I am playing along with Fall Coffee Lovers Blog!
This card took me 3 days to complete because my baby girl has been teething and very fussy, I didn't have as much free time as I usually do!
Here is my coffee card ;-)
I know I just played with that coffee set from Your Next Stamp, but the sentiments are really cute I couldn't stay away!
The first thing I did was to make my own patterned paper since I have no coffee related paper! Plus those coffee beans are just awesome! I stamped them with Versamark, heat embossed them with the Early Espresso Emboss Powder, water colored with Crumb Cake. I then made the coffee cup with watercolor paper so I could color the coffee with the marker, then applied some Glossy Accent. I stamped delicious latte colored Newton on the Crumb Cake Cardstock and colored his ears and nose with the Calypso Coral Blendability, speech bubble with the little heart on watercolor paper and water colored with Pool Party and Real Red to match the patterned paper on the cup. The cute sentiment was heat embossed on vellum with the Early Espresso Emboss Powder.
*Fun Fact: Newton really does love coffee! It cracks me up!!*
I was going for a mixed media look again, so I heat embossed some chevrons with white, water colored with Pool Party over them. Pool Party is my most favorite color from Stampin' Up!, and I think it goes so well with any colors especially browns!
I sewed my coffee bean paper on the Early Espresso DSP, new and re-designed this year and I am loving the patterns! Then layered them on that Pool Party paper.
Of course I had to add some sequins, but I didn't have a good color for this card so used the Crystal Clear, they kind of look like sugar, don't they!? I am loving this card, Newton is so cute on my coffee, I can't stand it!!!
