Okay, okay! Take a deeeeeeep breath now! {LOL}
I know! Newton has a girlfriend 💗
Aren't they just so very sweet together!? EEEEEEK 😆💗
Here's my take...;-)
This sweet image immediately stole my heart 💗
I really didn't need much on this card, just sponged background with the Tumbling Hearts Stencil (it's like they were meant to be used together, you know!?), and this lovely, adorable image did the rest for me!
The very first thing I did was to die cut the shape of the image without stamping from scrap and taped it onto my front panel to sponge and add embossing paste. When I was done, I removed the die cut then stamped the image. I could have colored in all the white outlines, but I liked this look ;-)
My embossing paste turned yellow when it dried, the pink ink must have come through? I thought of coloring the hearts with white ink but it kind of matches my Newton ;-)
Do you see their tails making a heart together!? Now how sweet is that!? 💗
Here is my second card with the Newton's Sweetheart set 💗
Just look at this happy couple sharing a bottle of strawberry milk 💗
I colored the boy cat like Newton except I left his tummy and paws white. His sweet girlfriend reminded me of Marie from Disney so left her white and gave her a pink ribbon ;-) They are just so stinkin' cute together!
I picked navy for this little panel because I was going to heat emboss some of the hearts from the Tumbling Hearts Stencil with glow in the dark embossing powder to create a night sky, but I totally messed it up! I tried again with embossing paste, then decided to color them pink to match the strawberry milk. Pink and navy aren't my usual go-to color combo, but I really liked it so I heat embossed the sentiment with pink as well ;-)

ReplyDeleteOh, I love the no-line coloring. So soft and sweet. And that's so weird about your embossing paste, but if it makes you feel better, I totally thought it was intentional, so shhh, it's our secret. And I like the pink/navy combo. I might need to try that out for a valentine, because I do get a little tired of the bright pinks, reds, and whites. Thanks for sharing your lovely ideas (and how to fix mistakes!) with us.
