Monday, May 13, 2019

Hello, lovelies!
Can you believe it is time for the Newton's Nook Designs May Release already!!?
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 17th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
On day one, we are revealing this adorable and fun stamp set along with the coordinating die set, ready!!?

This is called Newton's Movie Night 🎫🍬
Another addition to the trio of kitties series and it is so stinkin' cute 💗
My fave is the 3D glasses!!!

We are also revealing 2 new stencils this month!
First up is the Cascading Stars Stencil, how fun is this!!?

And then we have this super fun Popcorn Stencil!
It is just perfect to go with the new Newton's Movie Night Stamp Set!

Okay, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newtons' Movie Night Set - Naki Rager

Here is my first card with the Newton's Movie Night Set ;-)

I don't know why but when I hear "movies", I always think of black and white films.
So here it is ;-) I used watercolor pencils for this, I thought they might be easier to control all the grays I needed without making it muddy! have you ever colored black and white!? It is actually quite tricky but super fun to color!

This sentiment was heat embossed with yellow EP on this vellum ticket, which was die cut using the Framework Die Set. I also heat embossed a couple of stars, and popped on a die cut star.

Since I colored the image black and white, I wanted bright colors for the background, so I heat embossed the popcorn all over using the new Popcorn Stencil. I mounted this red and white diagonal striped paper as a movie theater popcorn cup! Isn't it fun!!? ;-)

For my second card, I created a movie theater with a lot more colors!

I stamped the image 4 times using the masking technique to create rows of seats.
I purposely stamped only the heads after the first row so that they didn't look all the same and creepy {LOL} Then it was colored with watercolor pencils and die cut the panel using the postage stamp frame from the Framework Die Set.

I stamped a dozen of the 3D glasses image and colored in the lenses with Copic markers then added some sparkle to the frames with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. I did use the coordinating die to die cut them but since I had to trim some of them, I fussy cut them all so that they looked more coordinated.
For the custom made sentiment "meowvie", I used the Essential Alphabet Die Set ;-)

I just wanted to share this photo of my kitty Bramble because he is so cute {LOL}
He follows me everywhere in the house all day and was watching me taking photos, and I guess these little photo props looked too tempting ;-) This little boy is curled up right next to my laptop as I am typing up this post, too. He is my cutest little stalker and I LOVE it 💗
