Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 334

Sunday, November 1, 2015

Hi there, happy Sunday!
I hope you all had fun and safe Halloween yesterday!
Are you ready for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!?
This week's sponsor is Dilly Bean :-D

This color combo is so pretty!
Here is my take...

I used Not Quite Navy and Primrose Petal.
I felt like dusty navy, so I paired it with dusty pink ;-)

The sponsor generously provided us with several digital images to work with, and my pick was this super adorable penguin! He is SO CUTE with his scarf!

I started drawing the stripes at 1/4" from the top, then every 1/2" with the Not Quite Navy Marker using the grid paper. The sentiment is from the Winter Alpaca set, heat embossed with white then die cut with the washi tape die from the Mini Treat Bag Framelits. This is my latest favorite!

I added a few more die cuts then sequins.
I didn't want him to freeze but those snowflakes and silver sequins are just so lovely, I had to use them!

My notes...

Stamp: Penguin in Scarf (Dilly Bean), Winter Alpaca (Lawn Fawn)
Paper: Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Primrose Petal, Watercolor Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, More Amore SDSP, Design Vellum (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Primrose Petal, Gumball Green,More Mustard Stampin' Markers, Versamark
Accessory: Snowflake Sequins, Marshmallow Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
Tool: Heat Tool, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Mini Treat Bag Framelits Die, Small Heart Punch, Maggie Holmes Open Book Die (Crate Paper), Die-namics Blueprint 15 (My Favorite Things)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

  2. Your penguin is absolutely adorable! You've worked magic with the colour combination and pairing it with vellum, snowflakes and a shimmery heart adds such impact! I'm new to the team, thrilled to be designing alongside you! You've already sparked inspiration with how to showcase digital images...I'm new to using those, as well!
