Newton's Nook Designs April Release Day 2

Tuesday, April 17, 2018

Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs April Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 20th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop
Today is our second day of the reveal and we have this gorgeous set called "Wedding Frills" along with the coordinating die set, PLUS the Floral Lace Stencil 💗

Aren't these lacey flowers just gorgeous!?
It's so delicate and elegant 💗

Isn't this simply beautiful!?
It kind of reminds me of kimonos 💗

Okay, here are my cards with these beauties ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Wedding Frills Set - Naki Rager

My first card is this very romantic, rustic wedding card 💛
I layered several different textures starting with the wide Jude ribbon, gold satin ribbon and light aqua cotton ribbon, crepe paper ruffle, tulle ruffle, strips of heat embossed flowers, kraft flower, and the light aqua cardstock.

This gorgeous image was heat embossed with weathered white embossing powder on vellum to imitate the vintage laces. Doesn't this look amazing laying on all these textures!?

This sweet sentiment was also heat embossed with the weathered white embossing powder, die cut with the circle die from the Wedding Frills Die Set, and mounted on this sweet little kraft crepe paper flower 💛

My second card is also rustic, this one isn't necessarily a wedding card tho ;-)
Before I used the embossing paste with the new Floral Lace Stencil, I actually foiled one. It's absolutely beautiful but it was also very fancy looking and I'm not fancy at all {LOL} Embossing powder on kraft cardstock seemed more me ;-)

I die cut the sentiment with the Essential Alphabet Die Set. The letters were adhered on the stitched banner from the Frames & Flags Die set. Then the banner was mounted over a strip of fringe, and the little lace flower, which was heat embossed with white embossing powder on vellum, was popped on. Pretty simple but do you really need more than this when you have such a gorgeous background!? I think not...;-)

  19. Rustic romantic is not something I would feel comfortable making, but I love seeing it done well! (And you have done it very well.) I'm loving all the kraft that's coming out for this set, because it has such a specific delicacy to it. Thanks for sharing such beautiful cards with us!
