Hey, there!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs 6 Year Celebration Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 19th in the NND Shop!
We'll also have a celebration blog hop on Friday so set your reminder now!
Alright, we're revealing 2 super fun and adorable stamp sets along with their coordinating die sets today!
These adorable kitties in the Newton's Perfect Wave Set are catching some waves today!
Ohmygoodness, their swimsuits!!! 😻
The Scuba Newton Set is SOOOO CUTE, isn't it!!?
Okay, let's take a look at what I created with these cuties...;-)
I created this funky background with the new Waves & Splashes Edge Stencil for this cool kitty to ride on! I even added some "salt" to the waves with the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen ;-)
I say this all the time but Newton really is one cool feline, isn't he!!?
I wish I could surf with him, but I can't even swim {LOL}
Doesn't he look fabulous with his gorgeous tan!!? He probably goes surfing when he gets off work as s supervisor at the NND HQ!
Although this stamp set comes with fun sentiments, I thought this watercolored sentiment die looked better with my "rainbow" waves. I borrowed the Aloha die from the Aloha Newton Die Set ;-)
I couldn't help myself but to make a slider with this kitty!
It must feel so awesome riding those waves!!!
My second card using the new Newton's Perfect Wave Set is sweet in pink 💗
This pretty kitty was watercolored (of course) and die cut using the coordinating die. She even wears a little hibiscus on her head, which was watercolored and fussy cut. Surfer girls are so pretty with their tan and salty beachy hair, aren't they!!?
I used some blue tape to get that clean line when blending some Distress Oxide ink to create this early morning background. I am NOT a morning person but if I could surf and lived by the sea, I'd wake up with the sun and catch some waves, too!

Well, Newton must be on vacation at some tropical island!
He is scuba diving this time with some fish friends!
He is scuba diving this time with some fish friends!
Just like surfing, I wish I could scuba but I cannot swim = I am afraid to go in the deep sea (or just a pool that is deeper than my height, really...). Anyway! I watercolored the scuba kitty and his marine friends then die cut using the coordinating dies. I colored one of the fish to be powder blue tang (that little gray one), which is my favorite saltwater fish other than puffers! Their colors are absolutely beautiful, it is breathtaking!
Some seaweed, clownfish, and butterflyfish were also watercolored and die cut with the coordinating dies.
The seaweed and coral were glued down onto the base card, and all the fish were popped on with foam tape. I kind of wanted them to shake around with the beads as they were swimming, but I was afraid they'd get lost!

I created some current using the Waves Stencil and embossing paste to give some texture.
I put clear bead seeds in my shaker to be the salt water, and some fun patterned circle confetti are like air bubbles coming out of everyone swimming! The scalloped frame was die cut with the Framework Die Set, I chose this smaller frame to make it look like Newton's friend is trying to take an underwater photo ;-)
