Hello lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new goodies will be available for purchase this Friday the 12th over at the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 2, and we are revealing the Newton Dreams of Italy set along with the coordinating die set!
Look at this kitty! Newton goes to Italy this time!
I am honestly jealous of Newton!
Alright, here goes my take ;-)
Oh my goodness!
Isn't he just so stinkin' cute!!? {heart}
This cutie was stamped with Antique Linen Distressed Ink on watercolor paper, watercolored, then die cut with the coordinating die. I decided to make this kitty a Siamese because, well, doesn't he look like he has a big beard!!? {LOL}
I watercolored the bottom half of the circle panel with Bermuda Bay ink, the other half with Soft Sky. I also watercolored scrap with Bermuda bay then tore it with hands. The circle panel was placed where the opening is on the Neenah White Cardstock panel, the other water piece was adhered onto the back of the front panel before it was mounted on with foam tape. My kitty on the gondola was also popped on with foam tape between the 2 river pieces. The sentiment and a little heart were heat embossed with white on Bermuda Bay Cardstock. I stamped the same heart again on white cardstock and colored it in the Italian flag colors with Spectrum Noir Markers, fussy cut then glued it on top of the heat embossed heart.
Well, how could I NOT make another card with this adorable set!!?
Who doesn't like a bowl of spaghetti with tomato sauce!?
I have a feeling there were meatballs too but this adorable kitty ate them before you could even see them...{LOL} He was heat embossed in tan, watercolored, then die cut with the coordinating die. The glass of wine, bottle of wine, and glass jar of olive oil (SO pretty!) were heat embossed in white, watercolored, then also die cut with the coordinating dies.
I die cut the biggest heart from the Daling Hearts Purr-fect Die Set from some scrap and used it as a stencil. The big heart was watercolored then the sentiment was heat embossed. I also borrowed that pretty vine from the Love Grows set ;-)
