Happy New Year!!!
We are back with the very first Cupcake Inspirations Challenge of 2016!
This week's sponsor is Sparkle N' Sprinkle!

Such a beautiful photo, isn't it!?
Perfect for the new year celebration!
Here is my take...

The sponsor generously provided us some digi images, thank you!
I picked this set, Blossoms to Go, so pretty!

So I was having the most difficult time with my printer... I was so mad I wanted to throw the printer out of the window!!! LOL I printed on several different patterned papers but just did not like any of them. So I decided to print on my regular copy paper then traced the lines with the Versamark Marker, and heat embossed with gold! The Versamark marker usually isn't as sticky as the pad, so I actually squeezed some reinker on a piece of paper and dipped my marker in it. First I wasn't sure if the copy paper can tolerate the heat tool, then realized they go through the printer, which gets super hot!

Black & white with gold, so classic and elegant ;-)
I mounted the black striped vellum on the Whisper White Cardstock, adhered my beautiful sentiment that was die cut in the black glimmer paper (LOVE it!), and added some sequins. Super simple but pretty ;-)

My notes...

Stamp: Blossoms to Go (sparkle N' Sprinkle)
Paper: Whisper White, Black Glimmer Paper, Winter Wonderland Design Vellum Pack, Copy Paper
Ink: Versamark Marker
Accessory: Black Sequins (Theresa Collins), Gold Circle Confetti (Pretty Pink Posh)
Tool: Heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, In a Word: Cheers Cutaway (Winnie and Walter)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Now let's all head over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog and check out the new DT team and their elegant creations!
You have until 1pm on Saturday to link up your creation and a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, so get inky!

  4. WOW, Naki, despite the 'turmoil' this card initially caused, the final results are ever so stunning and elegant! The black, white and gold - especially on that big bloom - is a classy combination! Love this!
